Scarface Says He's Never Reuniting With The Geto Boys Again (VIDEO)
(AllHipHop News) Scarface returned to The Breakfast Club this week. The Houston Hip Hop legend spent nearly 40 minutes talking about the latest happenings in his career. Face revealed he is working on new music, but made it clear he is not attempting to conform to modern rap in order to reach young listeners.
“I had a voice in my ear saying, ‘Yeah man, if you want to stay relevant you gotta tap into the youth’,” said Scarface. “I was saying to myself, ‘If I go see him and get some youth music then I’ll look like the 7 foot fifteen year old.”
The man that is considered by many Hip Hop followers to be one of the greatest emcees of all time also talked about his upcoming album. In addition, the Deeply Rooted rhymer discussed his appreciation for New York City’s role in the culture, his relationship with Eazy-E, being an indie artist, the business side of the industry, and ending his tour with Geto Boys.
“That’s over,” responded Face when asked about being on the road with Willie D and Bushwick Bill. “That’s a page in history that is closed for me. I’m done. That’s never going to happen again.”
In June, the Geto Boys had started a Kickstarter campaign to fund a reunion album. It appears the supposed Habeas Corpus project is not happening anymore.
