Cam’Ron Speaks On Backing Suge Knight Down When He Came At Him For Money

In his Purple Haze 2 cut "Fast Lane," Cam'ron tells a tale of backing Suge Knight down after the Death Row boss came at him at the club in Los Angeles and demanded money for a 2Pac sample he had used.

Cam elaborated on the incident in a Shade 45 interview. [Jump to ten minutes.]

"So [Suge] comes over … and he's like 'you owe my some money, you used that 2Pac beat and that's my beat,'" Suge told Cam'ron, who then explained to Suge that Daz Dillinger had given him the beat.

Suge reiterated that it was his beat and not Daz's to give, and then told Cam he "f*cks n*ggas up who don't give me money."

"I f*ck n*ggas up too," Cam said he shot back. "So what we doin', what's poppin?' And [Suge] was like 'You know what, it ain't even no big deal, we all good.' And that was the end of the story … He probably thought we'd be intimated and pray on that. And I wasn't intimidated. It's something we could have handled business-wise.  But just three in the morning outside of the club in L.A. It was more of street situation and we with that.  If it was business he could of called me tomorrow we could have handled it the right way. To be honest, he didn't even trip after that, he just walked away.
