It seems Nas and Nicki Minaj’s romance is over. According to TMZ, a source close to the couple said the superstar Hip Hop duo called it quits a few weeks ago. The relationship, which stretches back to May 2017, reportedly dissolved due to geographical reasons – they both lived in different cities. Several gossip sites were also speculating that Minaj was pregnant with his child but TMZ’s source says those rumors aren’t true. Although Black Barbie and the Illmatic legend kept a relatively low prile, they’d occasionally pop up together. Nas called Minaj his “shorty” in a series photos he shared last September....
Los Angeles, CA – Controversial Hip Hop figure Suge Knight has taken issue with prosecutors working on his hit-and-run murder case and the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department. According to TMZ, the former Death Row Records CEO filed a motion accusing them eavesdropping on his conversations with his legal team since last August. In court documents obtained by TMZ, Knight demands all court orders should be thrown out since they were ordered by a judge who recused himself from the case. As Thursday (January 4), that request has been denied. Embed from Getty s Knight has been in an L.A....
A Chicago woman who was live streaming a confrontation with another woman got more than she bargained for. The 27-year old approached a parked car in front her apartment complex with her camera rolling. After some back and forth, the woman in the car reveals that she has a gun. Then the woman shoots her with a single shot. The live streamer cries in pain as the stream continued. She was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition. Although police haven't brought the shooter in yet, they say it's nothing to worry about. Chicago, ladies and gentlemen.
New year, new beef. We're only three days into 2018 and hip hop already has its newest beef. As Skillz re-capped the year with his popular "Rap Up 2017", Uncle Murda quickly dropped his version. Murda has been following Skillz' lead for a few years now with this series. Apparently, this time around, Skillz received an Instagram message from Murda where he insulted both Skillz and the song (See below). Not only did Skillz publicly display this message and tell Uncle Murda he DM'd the wrong dude, he also retaliated with a diss, "Murda Gram". This four minute long...
This may have nothing to do with anything (lol) However, both K Camp & Moneybagg Yo, separately, have dropped new records. Both songs from these popular, southern artists have something to do with cranberry juice. The Atlanta artist, K Camp, dropped two projects in 2017 with "K.I.S.S. 4" and "Slumlords 2". He'll start f 2018 with a single titled "Cranberry Juice". Memphis born, Moneybagg Yo killed it this year with his "Heartless" mixtape and chart topping "Federal 3X" album, and he'll start the year by hitting us with "Ocean Spray". Listen to both songs below: Do they have the...
Riff Raff's been easing up on the drugs for the past several years. In 2014, he announced he was quitting cocaine and molly after making them a big part his outrageous persona. He took it a step further last night on Twitter, telling everyone to quit the coke. In his PSA Tweet, Riff mentions that coke is being cut with deadly Fentanyl, the opioid that killed Lil Peep. (Although in that case it was mixed with Xanax.) Jody joins a growing number rappers who have made anti-drug pledges in the New Year. Well, we'll always have the old Riff...
Remember two weeks ago when Nicki Minaj stated, "It's a great time to be a white rapper in America, huh?" Maybe so, judging by the current top ten singles on iTunes. However, I bring this up to talk about Caskey. Hip Hop should not be classified by race, nationality, or anything else besides HIP HOP itself (Which is probably why Nicki went ahead and deleted her statement shortly after making it). Cash Money's, Caskey, is one hell a hip hop artist and should not be overlooked or taken lightly. With many projects under his belt, Caskey's most recent effort,...
XXXTentacion is under "very restrictive" house arrest as he awaits trial on 15 felonies, including aggravated battery a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and witness tampering. But he is allowed to use social media. He jumped on Instagram Stories yesterday and posted a paranoid message about evil and the need for his fans to protect him from it. It's unclear who the people doing evil things to X are. It could be the state Florida, who wants to put him away for life. Or it could his old friend Ski Mask The Slump God, who recently...
The Chef is back with a refreshing way to start f an afternoon. The man, the legend, Raekwon fers up two brand new cuts to start f his 2018, "The Sky" and "The Biz". Raekwon had released his seventh studio album "The Wild" back in March and had also made a few contributions on Wu-Tang Clan’s compilation project, "The Saga Continues", in October. Future isn't the only one using Instagram to hint at new music. Drake's been using his page to prove he's hard at work in the studio. Drake's been suggesting he has new music coming since November. Here's what he said in New Zealand" Last week, a new (and seemingly unfinished) Drake track called "Pistols" leaked. Do you think Drake's 2018 will be bigger than his modest-by-his standards' 2017?
