As much as people try to break the mold in music, there’s something to be said for a tried-and-true formula. That’s being said, there’s no reason you can’t spice it up a bit or put your own personal touch on it, and the new single from EVAN GIIA is the perfect example that sentiment. Working double time as a ballad and high-energy, bouncy house tune, “WESTWORLD” is crazy fun. Deep house vibes blend with tropical notes and addictive vocals for a bouncy and boisterous tune you just couldn’t help but dance to. While I’ve never heard this dropped live,...
One thing that can be said about The Chainsmokers is that they love supporting up and coming artists. Having already released a remix package for their new single “Sick Boy” with Zaxx, Prismo, Owen Norton, Kuur, Trobi, and neutral, the new “You Owe Me” remix pack features a similarly impressive new array names: Nonsens, Whyel, Subfer, Inverness and Magnace. One the things I was most curious about for the remixes was how they’d handle the synth in the original “drop” the song. The answer is that they all pretty much ignored it entirely, crafting their own synths and arrangements around their...

To hear DJ Spotify at work for yourself, simply go into your advanced settings and double check your “crossfade” feature is turned “f.” Next, select the playlist embedded in this article, turn on “shuffle” and listen carefully as the...

UPDATE 4:40pm | An error from APRA shows Harley Streten as a credited writer on What So Not’s song “Be Ok Again.” Streten, aka Flume, was in fact not on this album What So Not‘s debut album has done nothing but impressed since its release — and it’s no wonder one track in particular sounds so right! The album boasts collaborations with Toto, San Holo and Skrillex (just to name a few) and tons other beautiful WSN originals. But as one points out, H Streten aka Flume is low key one the collaborators on the new album. Writing credits on “”...

Angello has been notoriously playing fast and loose with information about Ultra, but once and for all he’s confirmed that he’s taking a break from the festival: “I do so many ultras. It’s nice with a break once in a while. I’ll be there next year!” A Swedish House Mafia set without Angello just wouldn’t be a Swedish House Mafia set. However, if we were so inclined to keep...
