Rocking an all-white getup, the “Atlanta” star pulled together his most ethereal vocals to deliver on a performance his “Terrified” ballad, a highlight from his Awaken! My Love effort last year. Altogether, Childish Gambino was nominated in the categories for Album The Year and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Awaken! My Love while the project’s “Redbone” single was up for Best R&B Song, Record The Year and Best Traditional R&B Perfomance. By the time he took to the stage, he’d already won the award for the latter.

With such an amazing perforamnce under his belt, we’re all still holding onto the hope that the end Chidish Gambino is not as near as it seems considering Donald Glover announced that the next project he put out under the alias would be his last.

Nonetheless, we still have Glover’s incredible acting and writing skills to lean on as his Atlanta series gets ready to debut its second season on March 1st while he will also take on the role a young Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars origin film Solo: A Star Wars Story.
