Lil Yachty came into his debut album Teenage Emotions with all the hype and a Sprite commercial.

He even tried to gin things up more by going with a provocative album cover that showed, among other things, two guys kissing.

But something just didn't work. Teenage Emotions limped out the gate in May 2017, moving only 44,000 sales plus streaming in its first week.

Boat addressed that disappointment in a new Interview article.

Yachty added that he's working hard on his sophomore album  Lil Boat 2.
