Listen to Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa’s new track ‘Prisoner’

Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa have finally unveiled their long-awaited single, ‘Prisoner’, after months of rumours and teasing.

The song is less in-your-face than what either artist has released this year, but both Cyrus and Lipa still have fun switching lines over a grooving and pulsating bassline.

In addition, the two pop superstars give off Thelma and Louise vibes with a gritty music video, that sees them drive a bus, dance with one another and eat glacé cherries before performing in a dive bar.

The video then ends with the text ‘In Loving Memory Of All My Exes – Eat Shit’.

Both Cyrus and Lipa have teased the release of ‘Prisoner’ throughout the year. Last month, Cyrus said the single was “perfectly a blend of the both of us”.

In May, Lipa revealed that the pair had discussed plans to link up on a song prior to the coronavirus pandemic. However, lockdown restrictions forced them to delay their plans.

‘Prisoner’ is the second single from Cyrus’ forthcoming album, ‘Plastic Hearts’, following on from her previously released track ‘Midnight Sky‘. The record is due for a November 27 release and will also feature guest appearances from Billy Idol, Joan Jett and Angel Olsen.
