Premiere: Suns Of July Release Beautiful Anti-Bullying Music Video And Single Titled “Beautiful You Are”

We have the distinct pleasure to announce that Toronto based band, Suns of July, have premiered their latest song, “Beautiful You Are,” today on New Hit Singles.

The song is an anti-bullying anthem, featuring Kostas Dimos, lead singer and rhythm guitarist, his brother and drummer, Anastazio Dimos, and lead guitarist, Nick David (a.k.a., The Colonel). The trio have known each other since high-school and have participated in several bands and projects together through the years. Kostas Dimos also had the good fortune of performing with U2 in 2015 at the Bell Center in Montreal.

Blending 80’s and 90’s inspired sonic textures with contemporary ones, Suns of July are not only in the news for the beautiful music they create, but for the great cause they are dedicated to helping at all costs; anti-bullying.

The visuals in their video in support of ‘Beautiful You Are’ capture a group of diverse students at a Toronto elementary school promoting values of acceptance and inclusion and sending an inspiring message to viewers and listeners. Kostas Dimos faced consistent bullying while an elementary school student; creating this song has assisted in transforming his negative experience into a positive which the band hopes can benefit children en masse.

Suns of July have performed “Beautiful You Are” in several schools and will continue to do so this year with performances already scheduled. The most important performance will be on February 26 at Toronto’s “Pink Shirt Day” during the “International Anti-Bullying Month” at the north Toronto elementary school where many of the children featured in the ‘Beautiful You Are’ video are enrolled.

‘Beautiful You Are’ is one of the most interesting productions we’ve heard in a while. It packs a heavy dose of emotion and is inspiringly performed by Suns of July.
