In perhaps the most chaotic news from today, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden is receiving some criticism after he made some questionable remarks in a heated conversation with Charlamagne Tha God in an interview on The Breakfast Club.
After previously rejecting numerous interviews with the radio show, the White House hopeful's camp finally allowed the candidate to make an appearance on the show Friday morning. Biden went on the popular syndicated radio show and dodged questions from Charlamagne about marijuana legalization, which he thinks is a gateway drug, and details about his potential running mate.
Further into the conversation, Biden strongly defended his support and ties to the Black community, claiming he gets “overwhelming support” from Black voters. He then declared, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump then you ain’t black.”
Biden immediately received backlash regarding his comments, notably from Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, the only Black Republican on Senate, who tweeted this morning reminding Biden that 1.3 million Black Americans voted for Trump back in 2016 and that the Democrats often take the Black vote for granted.
Biden is set to become the Democratic Presidential nominee in the upcoming November 2020 election cycle.
Bernie Sanders Drops Out Of 2020 Presidential Race
Bernie Sanders has officially dropped out of the 2020 Presidential Election, leaving room for Joe Biden to represent the Democratic Party.
For the last two elections, Bernie Sanders has been hopeful that the American public relates to his campaign but, both times, he came up just short.
It is being reported that Bernie Sanders, one of the sole remaining Democratic candidates running against Joe Biden, has dropped out of the race to become President of the United States.
As reported by CNN, Bernie Sanders announced to his team that he would be dropping out of the race this morning, leaving room for Joe Biden and Donald Trump to face off later this year.

This announcement comes after a stunning turn for Sanders. After seeing tremendous support from the first three primaries in late February, that was reversed and Joe Biden became the clear favorite for the Democrats.
It will be interesting to note whether Sanders ends up endorsing Joe Biden as his choice for the next President. The two men did not agree on many important topics. Sanders was viewed as the "progressive" candidate of the bunch, and his supporters have lived with a "Bernie or Bust" mentality for eight years.
Do you think Joe Biden has a shot at defeating Donald Trump come election time or does Trump have this in the bag?
Charlamagne Tha God Blasts Joe Biden For Rejecting "The Breakfast Club"
Charlamagne Tha God has interviewed plenty of other Democratic candidates, but Joe Biden’s camp reportedly won’t allow him to visit “The Breakfast Club.”
There have been plenty of Democratic candidate hopefuls who have made appearances on The Breakfast Club. Prior to this becoming a run-off between Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden, The Breakfast Club welcomed interviews from Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris. However, the radio show’s attempts to get the former Vice President of the United States have been rejected.

Charlamagne Tha God talked about the 2020 Presidential Election with MSNBC’s Craig Melvin and chatted about what The Breakfast Club audience expects from candidates in the upcoming election. During the discussion, Charlamagne was asked about his previous comments regarding Joe Biden avoiding an interview with him and why he thought that was an issue.
“I really have no idea,” Charlamagne said. “Joe Biden owes black people his political life, you know what I’m saying? So don’t disrespect that base by not showing up, especially when all of your other former opponents did. But I definitely got it on great authority that a lot of the black surrogates around him don’t want him to come to The Breakfast Club.“
Charlamagne added that last year Biden’s campaign did attempt to send a black representative to The Breakfast Club in Biden’s place, but they weren’t having it. “That’s what I felt was disrespectful last year. He wanted to send one of his surrogates, I think the brother’s name was Cedric, I don’t remember Cedric’s last name,” Charlamagne added. “I was like, no. That’s kinda wack if all the other candidates went on themselves and you want to send a surrogate. Who do you think you are?”

Killer Mike Campaigns For Bernie Sanders In South Carolina
Killer Mike holds it down for Bernie Sanders in South Carolina.
For the past two Presidential elections, Killer Mike has been championing his friend and political associate Bernie Sanders as the man for the job as Head of State. As one of hip-hop's self-educated, self-reliant, and vocal members of the culture, Killer Mike has been able to spread rhetoric that has allowed the Black and hip-hop community to take accountability for its actions and become self-sufficient by any means necessary. Now, after failing to get the 2016 Democratic Presidential nomination, the "Black Power. White Powder." rapper is doing everything in his power to help Bernie Sanders secure the 2020 Democratic Presidential nomination.
Yesterday (Feb. 28), Killer Mike joined Sanders on the campaign trail in Columbia, South Carolina to rally the people and address some of the American people's highest concerns from student loan debt, healthcare costs, inflation, and more. However, whenever the 44-year-old, Atlanta-bred emcee ever gets the opportunity to speak into a mic, he's going to kill it. Hence, the name, Killer Mike.
Instantaneously, Mike's presence shifted the energy amongst the Sanders crowd as he spoke eloquently into the speaker system, stating:
"We want progress and we want it now. We want progress, when do we want it?" Mike, awaited for the crowd to respond before continuing, "We're not playing with people, we're not wasting our time online arguing with people, we're not trying to convince the unconvinceable. What we're going to do is we're going to leave today, we're gonna get five people who are not registered to vote, we're gonna get register them to vote. We're gonna take them to the polls, we're going to elect our President, Senator Bernard Sanders!"
After Mike's short address, the crowd roared with enthusiasm before the clip came to a close. While we have seen celebrities like Dave Chappelle come out in support of his favorite candidate and fail, Killer Mike and Bernie Sanders have the opportunity to do something big this upcoming Presidential election.

Juvenile Joined By Democratic Candidate For "Back That Azz Up" Performance
Juvenile showed up at the South Carolina political rally for Democratic nominee hopeful Tom Steyer and performed "Back That Azz Up."
We're just creeping out of February and already 2020 has been a wild year. In just over eight months, American citizens will be choosing the candidate that they want as their next President of the United States. Sitting president Donald Trump will be the incumbent while the Democratic Party has been filtering out potential candidates for months. Andrew Yang, Cory Booker, Beto O'Rourke, Kamala Harris and over one dozen others have bowed out of the competition, but Tom Steyer continues his campaign... and a strange campaign it's turning out to be.

On Friday (February 28), Steyer held a rally in South Carolina. All seemed well for the red, white, and blue event until things took a turn when Juvenile hit the stage for a performance of "Back That Azz Up." The Louisiana rapper's club hit went over well as the 62-year-old billionaire businessman began dancing with the rap star and his hype man. If Steyer's moves don't get you grooving, his wife's certainly will.
The audience was unsurprisingly perplexed and seemed to be a bit of stunned, but social media had quite a lot to say. Check out bits of the performance, along with a few reactions, below.
Rosario Dawson "Comes Out" But Has "Never Had A Relationship In That Space"
Rosario Dawson and Corey Booker are happily in love, and in a recent interview, the actress cleared up rumors about her sexuality. Sort of.
There look to be wedding bells in the future for Rosario Dawson and Cory Booker. The actress and her Senator boyfriend have been quite candid about their budding romance, especially when he had his hat in the ring to become the Democratic candidate in the forthcoming presidential election this November. Following Booker’s exit from the race, Rosario chatted with Bustle about her relationship with Booker along with policies that she stands behind. During the talk, the reporter brought up Dawson’s ongoing support of the LGBTQIA+ community, referencing an Instagram post back in 2018 when she wrote, “Happy pride month! sending love to my fellow lgbtq+ homies.”

The public thought that was Rosario’s way of “coming out,” but the actress said that wasn’t’ her intention. “People kept saying that I [came out]… I didn’t do that,” she says. “I mean, it’s not inaccurate, but I never did come out come out. I mean, I guess I am now.” She then switches things up to say that she doesn’t feel as if she should be included because, “I’ve never had a relationship in that space, so it’s never felt like an authentic calling to me.”
Now, while there have been a few reports stating that she’s come out as bisexual, Rosario didn’t actually say that during her interview. Cory Booker has her heart for now and we’re sure that’s her main concern. Check out her 2018 post below.
Andrew Yang Drops Out Of Presidential Race, "Yang Gang" Doesn’t Handle News Well
"#YangGang2024" is already trending on Twitter.
The Yang Gang are hanging up their signs as it was announced this evening that Andrew Yang has dropped out of the presidential race. The businessman has run a steady campaign for the 2020 Democratic bid, even amassing support from celebrities including Whoopi Goldberg, Donald Glover, Alexis Ohanian, and Dave Chappelle. Yang became known as the guy who wanted to give Americans $1,000 per month, but it doesn't look like that presidential plan will unfold anytime soon.

According to The Washington Post, Yang decided to pull back following the New Hampshire primary. “I am a numbers guy,” Yang said. “In most of these [upcoming] states, I’m not going to be at a threshold where I get delegates, which makes sticking around not necessarily helpful or productive in terms of furthering the goals of this campaign.” He added that he's open to becoming another candidate's running mate in the future.
“If I become persuaded that there's a particular candidate that gives us a superior chance of beating Donald Trump, and I think it's important to make that opinion known, then I would consider it for sure,” Yang added. Meanwhile, his supporters have been sharing messages throughout multiple social media platforms. Some people have thanked Yang for giving it his best try, while others are pretty much imploding. Check out a few reactions below.
Dave Chappelle On Andrew Yang Endorsement: "This Guy’s Got Great Ideas"
Dave Chappelle explains why he joined the "Yang Gang."
Fifteen years ago, Dave Chappelle was considered defeated by the gatekeepers of the entertainment industry only to make his return to the on-screen and on-stage to become immortalized as one of the most polarizing comedians in modern-day history. Coming off of an amazing Netflix special and Grammy Award win, the Half Baked actor has endorsed democratic candidate Andrew Yang and is now participating in the philanthropist/lawyer's campaign trail.

Chappelle originally became a member of the "Yang Gang" after reading the candidate's book, The War on Normal People and learning of Yang's universal basic income proposal also referred to as "freedom dividends." This past Tuesday, the world-renowned comedian revealed why he chose to endorse Andrew Yang for president during an impromptu discussion with local media. Dave stated:
"If people listen to me, so be it, if they don't, so be it, but I know I'm doing my civic duty by just saying the thing I believe in. This is without irony or a punchline, I'm just telling you – this guy's got some great ideas, you should check it out," according to the Des Moines Register.
Chappelle then went on to discuss how disappointed he is in the wealthy disparity he witnesses throughout his daily interactions saying:
"The wealth disparity between me and my neighbors is immense. It's heartbreaking. And if you know a third of the people up the street can't buy groceries, then you start to feel an imperative concern. It's not the kind of thing I could just see and hope for the best, I should probably say something."
Dave Chappelle even sympathized with Trump voters hoping for a Head of State with new, innovative ideas to move society forward stating:
"I don't look at Trump supporters as my enemy at all," Chappelle said. "I understand why people voted for Trump, I understand people are desperate. And I think that Andrew is right you run against the reasons that Trump got elected. I got friends on both sides of the political aisle, I got fans on both sides of the political aisle. A lot of people say professionally it's not wise to support any candidate, but this idea is so good, that I think it should exist."
The Grammy Award-winning comedian then closed out his statement, praising Andrew Yang:
"And I think the fountainhead of many of the good ideas on the table this year are coming from a single source — Andrew Yang. And for some reason, no one's paying attention. This guy is the origin of a platform that really does address where I think the country needs to go."
With the Iowa caucuses taking place on Feb.3, Dave Chappelle might have the influence to swing voters in the direction democratic candidate, Andrew Yang.
