Axwell Λ Ingrosso Tease Massive Swedish House Mafia Show For 2019
Axwell Λ Ingrosso just concluded their set at UK’s Creamfields not too long ago, and they ended it with a true bang.
Much like the duo’s set at Brooklyn Mirage in New York this past May, Axwell and Ingrosso took a moment at the very end to tease Swedish House Mafia, emblazoning their iconic three circles on the massive LED screen behind them and announcing, “to be continued.”
The possibility of a Swedish House Mafia surprise set tomorrow, the final day of the festival, is slim to none. There are no hints of a surprise guest performing. But Creamfields 2019? Definitely a very real possibility.
Steve Angello has already said he wants to play as the trio at Tomorrowland 2019, so a stop in the UK makes sense, as well.
Watch the moment during Creamfields’ live stream of the set below.
BREAKING: Axwell Λ Ingrosso Project Suspended As Swedish House Mafia Makes Full Return
We’ve already heard plenty from Steve Angello and even Axwell on the reformation and future of Swedish House Mafia, but now Sebastian Ingrosso is speaking out, as well. Talking to Swedish publication Metro, Ingrosso discussed the reason for SHM’s return, and also confirms that they’re headed into the studio.
When asked why, now, after five years, Ingrosso’s answer was relatively simple: “We felt it was time, and we missed it. And above all, we had fans who wanted us to reunite.”
He also confirmed that the three members of Swedish House Mafia will be back in the studio after summer to “try to do something fun together.”
However, one of the biggest bombshells of the interview is that their Axwell Λ Ingrosso project will be put on the back burner while they work on Swedish House Mafia. ” [We] will actually put it on the shelf. As I usually say, there are three dots, it’s not two plus a dot. But we will definitely still do our individual stuff.”
Axwell Λ Ingrosso still have a number of shows planned through the end of 2018, but don’t expect to see them on any lineups next year.
Tomorrowland Releases 2018 Compilation Album and Minimix
Tomorrowland finished another legendary two-weekend event this week, but the buzz around the festival continues. Tomorrowland sneakily dropped a three-CD compilation album before the festival began, plus a mini mix to boot.
On July 20, Tomorrowland released a digital version of the Tomorrowland 2018 (Story of Planaxis) album. Spanning 3 CDs, the album features mixes from some Tomorrowland favorites. Armin van Buuren and Axwell mixed the first CD and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Lost Frequencies mixed the second CD. The third CD caters to the house and techno heads, including tracks from the likes of 16 Bit Lolitas and remixes from Four Tet and Kölsch. The album released physically on July 27 as the second weekend of Tomorrowland kicked off.
To promote the album, record label Cr2 Records—who also released the album—put out a mini mix with tracks from the album. The mini mix features tracks from Lost Frequencies and Armin van Buuren, plus a host of remixes. Clocking in at just 14 minutes, the mini mix packs in 10 tracks.

Seb Ingrosso Hints At Forthcoming Swedish House Mafia Tour for 2019 At Tomorrowland
With Swedish House Mafia reunion tour rumors swirling like never before, it’s safe to say we can expect this to happen — but we’ll take all the reassurance we can get.
1/3 of the iconic group took to the mic at Tomorrowland to share some bittersweet news over the weekend. As Sebastian Ingrosso played out he and Axwell’s new single “Dancing Alone” he bid a farewell, for now. During the surreal moment, it all hit him — Tomorrowland wouldn’t be seeing the duo for a while as they prepare to join forces with Steve Angello once again.
“I just realized this one thing,” Ingrosso said. “This is the last time we see Tomorrowland for a while.”
Interpret this however, but we believe this is another sure sign of a Swedish House Mafia world tour in 2019. And, hopefully, we can count on new music from the group, too.
“We’ve had so much fun with you guys over two weekends,” Ingrosso continued. “Thank you so much for the love — thank you so much.”
Angello also recently confirmed, “It’s happening, obviously.”

Axwell Λ Ingrosso & Steve Angello Are Releasing New Music Tomorrow
It’s been about six months since we’ve gotten new music from Axwell Λ Ingrosso, but that’s all set to change tomorrow with their new single “Dancing Alone.”
Moving on from their last release, their single “Dreamer,” this new track is sure to make more people happy. “Dreamer” pissed a lot of people off when it was released and it was discovered that the drop wasn’t the same euphoric progressive sound that had been played out live.
In contrast, “Dancing Alone” is a pulsing, pounding, classic four-on-the-floor banger with vocals from RØMANS. It’s wildly fun and incredibly easy to dance to, tapping into that natural dancefloor rhythm.

The duo’s 2018 summer tour includes performances at multiple festivals across Europe, including both weekends of Tomorrowland. The North American leg will kick off in Chicago when they headline the North Coast Music Festival on August 31. It will include a sold-out headline show at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on September 1. See below for global itinerary. Tickets are available at http://axwellingrosso.com/tour/.
Aside from that, fellow Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello is also releasing a new song tomorrow! Details below.
The biggest moment in my career is right here on this artwork. I am launching a brand new label with @spinninrecords / @warnermusic and the first record on the label is a collaboration with one of the main reasons I actually do this as a career: @steveangello . He has been a inspiration to me for over a decade & it has been a honour to collaborate with him and finally release 'ROMANI' as the official first single of Kryteria Records. #KryteriaFamily
