Chromeo Cancels Multiple Tour Dates Due To Health Concerns [Details]
Hot off a stellar Electric Forest show and a headlining gig with The Glitch Mob at Red Rocks, Chromeo has unexpectedly cancelled the Australian leg of their tour due to health concerns.
The electronic duo has given their summer performances all they’ve got, but unfortunately it seems the hefty tour schedule has caught up with them. They’ve made the tough call to cancel their upcoming July tour dates so they can focus on health and wellness.
In an official statement addressed to “funkatters & chromettes” in Australia, they write:
We are truly sorry to announce that our upcoming July shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Splendour In The Grass have been canceled. It’s been so long since we’ve visited you last and we were so excited to play for you.
Chromeo says they are doing everything they can to reschedule their time in Australia.

Chromeo Brought A Full Gospel Choir For Their Performance On The Late Show [MUST WATCH]
Chromeo went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this past Thursday to play “Must’ve Been” off their new album Head Over Heels, out now. The performance was an epic spectacle, bringing featured artist DRAM along as well as an entire gospel choir.
This, of course, doesn’t seem out of place at all for Chromeo, who have made a career out of funk beats and soulful music. “Must’ve Been” is easily one of the funnest tracks on the album, pushing that funk and soul sound to the limit with delectable guitar licks and DRAM’s unique vocal performance – not to mention the choir that came along for the Colbert show.
Check out the full performance below.

Chromeo Team Up With DRAM For Funky Performance On The Tonight Show
Chromeo put on a quality performance last night when they took the stage during The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Adding DRAM, The Roots, and legendary guitarist Jesse Johnson into the mix easily made this one of the best late night musical appearances we’ve seen in a hot minute.
The electro-funk duo busted out their new track “Must’ve Been” just for the occasion, and it popped off perfectly. It’s just a little preview of what’s to come with Chromeo’s fifth studio album Head Over Heels, due out June 15, 2018.
Chromeo recently revealed to Zane Lowe on Beats 1: “This album is our love letter to all the different kinds of funk music that influenced us. It’s just like that us trying to like bridge different generations like to have DRAM from now to have like Jesse Johnson who’s done music with Prince to have The Roots. Like we grew up on The Roots to have all that together it’s just like what we want to try to bring together on this record.”
It’s awesome to see the concept of their album, this love letter to funk music, come to life on stage. Watch Chromeo’s killer performance right here and get ready for Head Over Heels next month!
