Shaq Claps Back At Haters Who Think He's Just A "Celebrity" DJ
Ahead of a massive summer tour, Shaq caught up with Ebro Darden on Beats 1 to clear up some things. First of all: he is not a celebrity DJ. In fact, Shaq has been behind the decks for over 30 years; but he’s not exactly surprised that people would think of him that way.
“I just give them great music, with the way I put my blends and mixes together, and a lot of people — because they haven’t seen me do it — I guess they think I’m a celebrity DJ, but I’ve been doing it since 1986,” he told listeners. “It’s about having fun and putting on a show for the people.”
His explanation to Darden echoes a response he gave Billboard when announcing his tour last month. “A lot of people think I am just a celebrity DJ, but I’ve been DJing since I was 14 years old, through my LSU days, and even back when I was in the NBA,” he told Billboard. “Over the years my musical influences may have changed, but one thing has always stayed consistent – it’s all about FUN and making people dance. That is what Summer of SHAQ is all about.”
Shaq also revealed during the Beats 1 interview that he recorded a track in the studio with The Notorious B.I.G, but it will never, ever be released.
“I’m the only one with a copy and it’ll never get released because I’ll never do it to him…he went in.”
Hopefully he’ll play it on tour? You can find dates here.
Trippie Redd Responds To Funk Flex's "Wack Rapper" Comments
Funk Flex shared a controversial post earlier today, claiming some "wack" rappers need to step up their games, tagging G-Eazy, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump and Nicki Minaj. The post was made in response to Diddy's own comments that he fears the rap game is getting oversaturated. However, Diddy's comments can be seen as constructive and as coming from a place love. Funk Flex, on the other hand, took it as an opportunity to bring down some rappers that have built significant success for themselves.

While Trippie Redd was not name-dropped by Funk Flex directly, the Canton rapper stood up for himself in case the Hot 97 host and DJ had any negative feelings towards him, writing, "I fuck wit u and maybe later you'll realize I'm way different than these un versatile ass n---as. I got goals set for this music shit." Trippie has already proven himself to be a very versatile artist, singing on some tracks, rapping on others and even arguably getting into emo territory.

Trippie's comment is mature, proving self-confidence and pride in his work, acknowledging that he will validate his talent to his haters. The rapper even shows some love to Funk Flex as, after all, he is an incredibly influential fixture in the New York scene and you need to keep all bases covered in music. Lil Yachty also responded to Flex's comments and their exchange can be seen in our prior article.
Cardi B Clears Rumor Of Ignoring Sick Children On Grammys Red Carpet
Cardi B didn't walk away with a Grammy at the award show this past Sunday but she was a highlight the evening. Her interview with Giuliana Rancic was hilarious and she shredded the stage with her performance "Finesse" alongside Bruno Mars. On Monday morning, YouTuber Nate Garner accused Cardi ignoring children from the Make-A-Wish foundation who wanted to meet celebrities including Cardi B. Her story on the other hand didn't match the accusations that were held against her.
In a since deleted Instagram post caught by The Shade Room, Cardi B made it clear that she didn't ignore the children and in fact, was under a tight timeline with everything that was going on that evening. Cardi stated that she was already late to the ceremony and her pre-check before her performance that evening so her time on the red carpet was rushed. She later clarified that she did end up stopping to take pictures with some the children from the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Of course, Cardi's Bronx roots came out and she wrote, "IM NOT THAT INDUSTRY BITCH YOU WANNA TRY.I will violate you and in real life as well dont make me catch your ass again. I will crush you."
While that post has since been deleted, she posted a more vague message to anyone who believed the rumor. She wrote, "A hater do the most to get recognition by the person they HATE !"
Nate later hit Twitter to stand by his statements which you could see below along with Cardi's initial responses.
Chris Brown Rips Unappreciative Fans After Tagging Complaints
Chris Brown seems to have a love-hate relationship with many his fans online. While there are plenty Breezy stans out there that support the R&B star in an unflinching way, there are almost as many detractors who consistently show up on social media to drag the music superstar for one reason or another. Case in point was a recent Instagram post made by Brown, where he got bent out shape over people asking him to tag them in their own videos.

In a since-deleted upload, Breezy took some time out to clap back at all those who have surely flooded his DM's and asked for them to be properly tagged in any videos their work that he shares on his social media platforms. According to Brown, many people have "blown up," in terms the online recognition, after he's given their material a repost, but if someone shares your work and no one is around to see or hear it because lack tagging, does it make an impression?
There have been two distinct camps that the reactions to this post have fallen into: those who feel as though the complainers should be happy with Brown's willingness to repost their work and those who think the R&B sensation is being hypocritical, seeing as he probably was in a similar spot at some point in his career. Presumably because the backlash, Brown took the post down just a few hours after he published it.

Ciara Faces Serious Backlash After "Level Up" Marriage Tweet
When she's not posting certified thirst trap material on her Instagram page, R&B singer Ciara is now taking to posting marriage advice? Sure seems like it.
Earlier today, the happily married wife Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tweeted out a video that contains a video clip from a sermon done by pastor John W. Gray III. Supposedly revealing the secret a successful union, the words that were said in the footage she shared were not taken lightly by her fans.

Gray preaches some controversial messages in the video, detailing that the scripture says that, “‘He that finds a wife finds a good thing.’ It didn’t say, ‘He that finds a girl that he’s attracted to, who he then begins to date, who he then calls his girlfriend, who he then buys a ring, proposes to and makes her his fiancée, who he then marries later who becomes his wife." It gets worse when he elaborates: "You’re not a wife when I marry you, you’re a wife when I find you.” Well then...
Needless to say, the Twitterverse did not react kindly to that kind one-sided message, as witnessed by this sampling the replies to Ciara's tweet:
Besides the implied shaming women who do not fall into this typical stereotype a submissive marriage, there's also the fact that Ciara called f her engagement to previous partner Future amid rumors infidelity. Looks like she's got a lot to answer for with this tweet.

He continues to patronize her by saying her eldest sons have the biggest MMG tattoos on their chest. Lil Yachty Calls Out Fan Who Apparently Lied About Their Encounter
A lot people find some way to hate on Lil Yachty. Whether it's his music, his appreciation for hip hop or his attire, people find a way to send negative vibes to the self proclaimed King Of The Youth. I don't personally know him but from what I've seen in interviews, he seems to be a fairly friendly dude. However, a recent fan encounter said different but Yachty cleared the air.

In a since-deleted tweet, a fan snapped a selfie with Lil Yachty and captioned it, "Day 2, shopping and Lil Yachty is just chillin'. Don't be fooled, he wasn't friendly @lilyachty." Yachty ultimately saw the tweet and immediately cleared the air. "Things like this are so crazy to me.. because I literally stopped mid conversation and started talking to you and took a pic with you..lmao."
He later tweeted out, "This is why I Lowkey don't like taking pics anymore cause people say crazy things in the caption.. that they don't state in real life."
The young "fan" who tweeted it took down the picture and also put her prile on private. There's a good chance Yachty fans weren't feeling her dragging the red haired homie through the mud like that. Regardless, it's clear Yachty isn't having anyone defame him.

Cam'ron Claps Back At Mase: "Let's Play N*gga"
Excitement has been everywhere since Cam'Ron and Dipset finally reunited for their Rap Cavier's show in NYC. I mean, it's the legendary Dipset and both Jim Jones and Cam put their beef aside to join forces again. However, one particular rapper didn't seem to be game for it. Early this morning, Ma$e dropped his diss track toward Cam on his scathing "The Oracle." Of course, that would make headlines everywhere and considering it's been a minute since we heard Mase on a track, it was interesting that he came back in the game to get at Killa Cam's neck. However, Cam'Ron never being one to back down from confrontation decided to respond to Mase in the most Cam'Ron way possible.

Cam'ron hasn't really been one to utter threats publicly or anything like that unless necessary. However, Cam is definitely one the best at roasting in the rap game. After hearing Mase's diss track towards him, Cam'Ron took to Instagram to post a picture Pastor Mase holding a bible in front the Roxy with the caption, "Good morning to u to betha...lol, Let's play nigga.." There's no saying what might end up happening in the beef but it could pretty much be assumed that there's definitely going to be one or two memorable hip hop beef moments throughout it all.
Mase just jumped out retirement to drop f a heavy diss track towards Cam. There beef has stemmed for quite some time at this point but kind got revamped earlier this year when Cam went on Instagram live explaining why he thinks Mase turned to being an evangelic preacher. He made claims that Ma$e turned to religion to get away from the rap game and the street shit. However, Mase later responded to the claims saying that he should've chimed in while Cam was live and also saying, "One thing people can say is they know I’m not scared."
