Superfans can be beneficial to artists as their undying support is just what an entertainer needs to catapult projects into the top of the charts, but some "Stans" can be destructive. After Usher said that Nicki Minaj was a "product" of Lil Kim, many of the Barbz dragged him on social media because they took his comment as an insult. Claudia Jordan discussed the topic on her Fox Soul talk show where she added that there wasn't anything wrong with the singer's remarks because Lil Kim was a pioneer. The Barbz then targeted Claudia and her family, as well.
Claudia Jordan took to Twitter to blast bullies who have sent intimidating messages to her family members. "WOW now the Barbz have gone too far," she wrote. "Threatening to 'BEAT HER' my 69 year old mother & now harassing my 15 year old niece? At the end of the day what will this accomplish but keep your karma bad & get you bought up on charges? WE stay protected-KNOW THIS. #OverATalkShowConvo smh."
Later she added, "So yall can justify trying to scare a little 15 year old black girl- like times aint challenging enough without you barbz being so ridiculous. I hope yall feel good about yourselves. But then again you have to be brainless & soul less to think that is cool or funny. Way to go!" Claudia's talk show guest, LisaRaye McCoy, also found herself to be a trending topic on Twitter yesterday after she stated that Nicki Minaj should "bow down" to Lil Kim. Check out Claudia Jordan's tweets below.
LisaRaye McCoy Catches Heat For Telling Nicki Minaj To "Just Take A Bow"
LisaRaye McCoy recently weighed in on the conversation about Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj, and the Barbz bit back.
If you thought we'd settled this whole Lil Kim influencing Nicki Minaj debate long ago, you're highly mistaken. Recently, Usher got caught up in the wrath of the Barbz after he told Swizz Beatz that a Verzuz battle between Nicki and Kim wouldn't work because the Queens rapper is a "product" of the Brooklyn emcee. This sparked debate once again on social media, and now LisaRaye McCoy has found herself to be the target of irate fans.

While speaking about Usher's controversial comments on Out Loud with Claudia Jordan, LisaRaye praised Kim for her contributions to the rap game. After Claudia Jordan clarified that Usher didn't say anything negative about Nicki Minaj, LisaRaye chimed in. "We can all stand together queens and we can all say that all of us are acknowledging the fact that Kim came before Nicki Minaj," LisaRaye said. "So Nicki, just take a seat. You don't have to sit down for long, but just take a bow. Just like Beyoncé said, 'Bow down b*tches."
As you can imagine, the actress's comments elicited a bevy of responses and mixed reactions. We've grabbed a few for you to read through. Check them out below.
LisaRaye Slams Kardashians For Promoting Unrealistic Body Shapes For Women
LisaRaye McCoy joined Claudia Jordan, Syleena Johnson, and Vivica A. Fox for a talk about how sculpted bodies are the new normal.
Every generation has its own aesthetically pleasing body image shape. Decades ago, what we consider to be “plus-size” was the sought after physique. The waif supermodels of the late 1970s and 1980s shifted what people were told was beautiful, and soon, both men and women strived to drop down to unlivable weights. A few shifts later, body shapes have changed once again and LisaRaye McCoy believes it arrived because of the Kardashian-Jenners.

“The Kardashians have single-handedly change the woman’s body shape that’s acceptable now,” LisaRaye said in a social distancing episode of Out Loud with Claudia Jordan. Also in the chat were singer Syleena Johnson and actress Vivica A. Fox. It seems like Syleena and Vi agreed with LisaRaye because they immediately “sipped their tea” and gave a few side-eyes. “Now, it’s the small waist, all this ass, look like the ankles can’t even hold up all of that… I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t want my body to look like that. ‘Cause that’s the body that everybody has now.'”
Claudia interjected and added that “everyone looks the same” because they “all are going to the same doctor.” Syleena and Vivica wanted to know what these women will look like decades from now when they’re 70-years-old. “Already looking a fool,” Syleena said. LisaRaye continued, “The generations after that feel like that’s what they have to do to secure the bag, as they say now.”
The Player’s Club actress also said the need to look a certain way is being perpetuated by social media and regular folks feel as if they need to alter themselves to look like this unrealistic aesthetic. Vivica chimed in saying that women are showing off all of their goods and twerking for free because it brings in followers, unlike herself and LisaRaye who played strippers in films because they “got checks for that.” Watch the ladies discuss body image below.
Angela Yee Doesn’t Expect Charlamagne Tha God To Stick Up For Her
Angela Yee talked about her relationship with Charlamagne Tha God and addressed rumors that “The Breakfast Club” is ending.
The relationship between Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God continues to be strained. The Breakfast Club co-hosts seemed to be as thick as thieves to listeners, especially as the two have worked together for years. However, Angela told Variety in January that they’re just co-workers at this point in time.
“We’ve always been the same. We work together, it is what it is,” Angela said of Charlamagne Tha God. “Like he said, we’re co-workers. A lot of people have jobs where they don’t necessarily love the people they work with, it’s just a part of life. That’s not the person you’d hang out with in real life.”
Angela popped up once again in an Instagram Live interview with Fox Soul‘s Out Loud with Claudia Jordan where she was asked about her co-host. Donny Bell wanted to know how Angela felt when Gucci Mane disrespected her during his interview with Charlamagne. Bell said had the rapper pulled a move like that and said something negative about Claudia, he would have stuck up for his friend.
“I think, you know, that’s just not… I don’t expect that from Charlamagne,” Angela Yee said. “But, I think [DJ] Envy, Gucci went at me and he went at Envy. He did those things and I think for some people, it’s more important to get—that was like a big moment for him. So, I think, some people I think, and this is just how it is, are interested in views and getting that up and not necessarily like… For me, there’s a lot of things in my life I’ve never done just because I’ve never been like, ‘Oh my God, I gotta date a celebrity, I gotta do this.’ That’s just not me.”
Elsewhere, Angela addresses rumors that The Breakfast Club is coming to an end. She said she doesn’t know anything about the validity of the rumors but she did confirm that all of the hosts’ contracts aren’t the same and end at different times. Trick Daddy Goes Off On Trina’s Former Manager: "Imma Break Your Jaw"
Trick Daddy wasn’t playing any games with Trina’s former business partner Julian Boothe who Trina claims scammed her out of money meant for her album.
One place where a fight is guaranteed to take place is a Love & Hip Hop reunion special. The Miami cast is finishing up their latest season, and the reunion didn’t disappoint. Hosted by Fox Soul‘s Claudia Jordan, the Love & Hip Hop Miami cast joined together to look back on the ins and outs of their drama-filled season.
Julilan Boothe, manager to Trina and Amara La Negra, has faced some serious accusations. Trina claimed that Jullian, her business partner, scammed her after he stole money that was supposed to be spent on her last album, The One. During the reunion, Jullian came face-to-face with his accusers, and the conversation sent Trick Daddy over the edge.
After leaving the stage, an irate Trick Daddy returned and let his frustrations be felt. “Stop playin’ crazy like you don’t know what the f*ck is going on,” Trick said. “You remember selling songs of mine overseas?” At first, Jullian asks him what he’s talking about. Then he asks Trick, “Did you not get paid every dollar?” “No!” the rapper replies.
“Man, Imma break your jaw soon as I get a chance,” Trick continues. “You a **** ass liar… Sittin’ up here lying. I’ll make you leave Miami ****!” More expletives were shouted by Trick Daddy while Julian sat in stunned silence. Check out Trick Daddy lay down the law below.
