Pop Smoke was the heartbeat of Brooklyn for a year before he was fatally shot in Los Angeles. The rapper was breathing hope into the drill scene of the city, allowing it to reach new heights as he personally made a name for himself around the country. Unfortunately, his story came to an abrupt end several months ago but his legacy will never fade away.
One of Pop Smoke's most impactful songs ever, "Dior," has officially surpassed one million units moved in the United States and, thus, has become the rapper's first-ever platinum record.
This moment is obviously bittersweet for fans of the late 20-year-old. Obviously, it would have been nice for this to happen while Pop was still alive. We're sure he's looking down on all of us right now though, dropping the loudest "WOO!" as a celebratory chant.
A new posthumous album has been announced by 50 Cent, who is the executive producer of the project, and Steven Victor, who was Pop Smoke's manager. In addition to a collection of songs that he was working on prior to his murder, a documentary will also be released about the life of the rapper, born Bashar Jackson.
Rest in peace, Pop Smoke.

Lil Wayne Cops An Insane Amount Of Balenciaga On "Sneaker Shopping"
Lil Wayne decided to get himself some designer shoes in the latest “Sneaker Shopping” episode.
Lil Wayne is a legend in hip-hop and over the past couple of decades, he has helped define some style trends. He has been known for his affiliations with Bape while also helping set the tone for Reebok in the 2000s. No matter what Wayne is wearing, people pay attention and begin to emulate him. Due to his influence in the sneaker world, Complex had Wayne on an episode of “Sneaker Shopping” where he dropped quite a bit of money at Neiman Marcus in Miami.
The episode starts with Joe La Puma asking Wayne about the sneakers he’s worn over the years and how Wayne actually helped influence Kendrick Lamar to sign with Reebok. Wayne even spoke about his New Orleans influence and how it shaped the way he dressed.
At the end of the episode, Wayne was given the opportunity to cop some sneakers and that’s exactly what he did. Wayne dropped over $7500 and came through with numerous pairs of Balenciaga Speed Trainers. Wayne came away with over a dozen pairs of shoes and about half of them, were in fact, the Speed Trainer. He also bought some Versace slippers as well as designer shoes from Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.
Let us know what you think of Wayne’s purchases in the comments, below.

Dior x Air Jordan 1 High Rumored Stock Numbers Revealed
Don’t expect to cop these for retail.
In April, Dior and Jordan Brand will be coming together for the release of their Air Jordan 1 High collaboration. There will also be a low-top released but for the purposes of this article, we will be focusing our attention on the high-top model. This sneaker is poised to be one of the biggest releases of the year and at a retail price of $2000 USD, it’s going to cost an arm and a leg. Regardless, sneakerheads are excited about the release and are gearing up for the fight of their lives when it comes to purchasing for retail.
According to @solebyjc Sole Collector, it appears as though these are going to be incredibly limited, which is something we knew already. The leaked image below shows how each pair is numbered. In fact, it seems like there will only be 8,500 pairs sold. This means copping will be incredibly difficult and resale prices could be upwards of $10,000 USD when all is said and done.
There is no official release date for the shoe so stay tuned as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates. Let us know in the comments below what you think of these and whether or not you plan on copping, whether it be at retail or resale.
Pop Smoke’s "Dior" Lands On Hot 100 Charts
Pop Smoke's "Dior" single posthumously climbs up the Hot 100 charts, marking his second placement and first as a solo artist.
Pop Smoke's death has left a void in the Brooklyn drill scene, and songs like "Dior," and "Christopher Walken" serve as reminders of what he was bringing to the game. While he had yet to reach the pinnacle of his potential, Smoke was quickly solidifying himself as a fan-favorite, with his contribution to Travis Scott and the JACKBOYS' "Gatti" marking his first song to hit the Hot 100 charts. Now, Smoke has done it again -- though this time posthumously-- with "Dior."
Billboard have revealed their updated Hot 100 charts, where Pop Smoke's "Dior" is currently sitting at 49, between Migos, Young Thug, and Travis Scott's "Give No Fux" and Lil Baby's "Sum 2 Prove." In a bittersweet turn, the song's success likely came as a direct result of Smoke's passing, as is so often the case whenever the game loses an artist. It should be noted that upon its initial release, Pop Smoke's Meet The Woo 2 sold a solid 36,000 album-equivalent units. Not bad for a 20-year-old newcomer -- not bad at all.
It's unclear whether his fans will continue to drive his music up the charts, but it's certainly nice to see the young rapper's legacy continue to shine. "Dior" served as a strong serving of Smoke's modus operandi; baritone bars, a darkly orchestral instrumental, and an infectious refrain. There's no telling how far Pop Smoke might have gone had he not been murdered at the age of 20. At least we had a chance to Meet The Woo before he shuffled off this mortal coil. Rest in peace, Pop Smoke.
Pop Smoke’s Streams Increase 392 Percent Following Death
Pop Smoke’s streaming numbers jumped from 5 million to 24.7 million on the day of his death, after he was tragically murdered in a fatal shooting in West Hollywood.
Pop Smoke’s discography is seeing a spike in streaming, rising from 5 million streams to 24.7 million streams after it was announced that the rapper was tragically killed in a fatal shooting in the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday. According to Billboard, tons of fans rushed to streaming services to play his music on the day of his death, resulting in a 392 percent increase in streaming numbers, per Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Pop Smoke’s catalogue as a whole garnered 24.7 million streams on February 19th following his death, almost five times as many as the 5 million streams the day prior. “Dior” off Pop’s 2019 debut mixtape, Meet The Woo, has raked in the most streams since we lost the young artist, rising from 909,000 listens on February 18th to 5.2 million on the 19th—a whopping 467 percent increase. However, while “Dior” may have the most listens, “Better Have Your Gun” saw the greatest increase in streams. The song was at 202,000 streams on February 19th, having experienced a 783 percent jump. The late artist also experienced a 984 percent increase in digital downloads of his songs, sitting at 3,000 downloads in total, 1,000 of which were “Dior.” Most strikingly, Pop’s music saw a 12,179 percent jump in album sales between Wednesday and Thursday, 3,000 of the 4,000 of which were his new album, Meet the Woo 2.

Pop Smoke’s murder took place in the early hours of the morning on Wednesday as a result of what was initially believed to be a home invasion robbery. It has since been reported that surveillance footage from the Hollywood Hills home had led authorities to believe that the shooting was in fact a targeted hit, rather than part of an intended robbery. While the police investigate Pop Smoke’s murder, which may have had ties to gang relations, the rest of the world continues to mourn the loss of a young talent gone too soon. RIP Pop Smoke.
Dior x Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Custom Revealed In Detail
Would you rock this Dior x Yeezy Boost 700?
Jordan Brand and Dior’s forthcoming “Air Dior” capsule collection has sparked a wave of similarly styled custom sneakers, most notably a special edition version of Kanye’s Adidas Yeezy Boost 700. Unfortunately it appears as though Dior wasn’t thrilled with having their design ripped.
According to sneaker source @SoleDebrief, well-known customizer @HuyCustoms had his account suspended at Dior’s request after he shared photos of his Dior x Yeezy 700 concept. The kicks in question look to be a modified colorway of the “Analog” Yeezy Boost 700, featuring updated hits of grey throughout the upper along with the Dior detailing, just as it appears on Jordan Brand’s official collab.

Dior x Air Jordan 1 High OG Dropping Soon: Finer Details Revealed
This collab is the biggest of the year, so far.
Dior is one of the biggest fashion brands in the entire world and recently, it was revealed that they were doing a collaboration with Jordan Brand on the Air Jordan 1 High OG. So far, we know the shoe will have a white base, grey overlays, and black stitched Nike swoosh with Dior branding all the way throughout. The images have been fairly intriguing and sneakerheads are excited about trying to get their hands on these, even if they may go for over $2000 at retail.
Thanks to @zsneakerheadz, we have some new images which show the finer details of the sneaker. On the Wings logo on the side, the shoe says Air Dior instead of the Air Jordan. This also appears on the Wings logo hangtag. From there, we have “Dior Air” branding on the tongue, as opposed to Nike Air. The tongue is very subtle as it is textured with Stitching in the shape of Dior branding. The lace tips are silver and also feature the Dior logo. Finally, underneath the icy blue outsole, you can find the Air Dior wings logo.
For now, these are slated to drop in April so stay tuned for any release updates. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Dior x Air Jordan 1 Revealed In Low Top Silhouette: First Look
Dior and Jordan Brand are about to take over 2020.
Dior is one of the biggest high-fashion brands in the entire world and for a few months now, they have been teasing a brand new collaboration with none other than Jordan Brand. The High OG version has a white base with grey overlays on the upper. From there, a Nike swoosh with Dior branding can be found on the sides. For a while, it appeared as though there would only be one shoe as part of the collab. Now, it seems like a low top version will be coming out as well.
Thanks to Thibo Denis, the head of men’s footwear at Dior, we now have some detailed images of what this low top model will look like. The low top will have the exact same color blocking as the high top version, so if you’re trying to decide which of the two pairs you want, it will have to come down to comfort. For some, high top shoes are uncomfortable while others hate the look of low tops. If you’re the former, then you’ll be in luck should these actually come out.
For now, there is no release date attached to these so stay tuned for details as we will be sure to bring them to you.
