NLE Choppa made some bold statements to his Twitter followers about his music career on Friday. The rapper hopped on what he feels is "the only app I really knew how to connect with my fans on" to open up about how how he really feels about "this music sh*t," and it's not looking good for Choppa supporters. It appears as though he might be throwing in the towel, or, at the very least, he won't be putting as much effort and care into his work anymore.
"Done taking this music sh*t serious folks," he wrote. "I’ll just chill ion like this b*tch ass sh*t anyway." Choppa's last body of work came in the form of his debut EP, Cottonwood, back in December. His most recent solo single, "100 Shots," just dropped last month, followed by his collab with Roddy Ricch, "Walk Em Down." He also hopped on Blueface's "Holy Moly" and Polo G's "Go Stupid" along with Stunna Vegas earlier this year. However, if this tweet is any indication, he won't be be rolling out any dope features or upcoming projects any time soon.
Right before tweeting his current state of mind about music, Choppa insisted that, "Ion say sh*t for attention I said it cus I meant it!" This kind of statement coupled with his possible disregard for pursuing music further is concerning for fans, considering the recent comments he's made regarding his mental health. Last month, Choppa opened up about struggling with depression, an experience that he planned on discussing in his upcoming music. He went on to post an alarming message about suicide, tweeting, "Imma Kill Myself The Last Day Of December 2020." We hope that Choppa is taking care of himself and that he finds his love of music again so he can use it to heal his pain.
Jay Rock’s New Album Is “80% Done”
New Jay Rock album is on the way.
Jay Rock has been relatively quiet since he dropped off his Redemption album back in 2018, but that hiatus may finally be coming to an end here soon. A couple days ago, the TDE rapper was spotted in the studio, and shared a pic on his IG story informing us that his album is “80% done.”
“When Yo Project At 80% Done” he wrote atop of a black & white image of him laughing in the studio. Unfortunately, that’s all the information we have at this time, but it’s safe to assume we maybe looking at a TDE Summer takeover.
This album tease comes just a week after Kendrick Lamar popped back up on the radar after he announced a mysterious new media company called pgLang with Baby Keem and Dave Free. While we don’t know what’s happening entirely, TDE is up to something and a safe bet might be a couple projects are on the horizon for later this year.
We’ll keep you posted moving forward, but in the meantime revisit Jay Rock’s latest project, Redemption, right here, to hold you over. Who’s excited to hear some new music from Jay Rock?
Bow Wow Quits "Growing Up Hip Hop"
Bow Wow announced that he is leaving "Growing Up Hip Hop," after fellow cast members Master P and Romeo Miller also revealed that they were quitting the show.
Bow Wow is officially "done" with Growing Up Hip Hop, following in the footsteps of his castmates, Master P and Romeo Miller, who recently revealed that they would be departing from the show as well. Bow Wow has been a part of the Growing Up Hip Hop family since GUHH: Atlanta premiered in 2017, but he's been making some appearances on the original series this past season as well. However, it looks like he's done with the franchise for good, as he declared social media that he was quitting the show, and even invited his fellow cast member and potential love interest, Angela Simmons, to join him.
"We done w/ Growing Up Hip Hop!" he wrote on his Instagram story. "We on to bigger and better things! @angelasimmons lets do the unthinkable #history." He also tweeted a similar message, adding that the producers need to get their sh*t together.
"We done w @WEtv and growing up hip hop!" he tweeted. "Get yall sh*t together! Until then WE OUT! aint no show w out Bow know that! Good luck." This news comes in the wake of father-son hip hop duo Master P and Romeo Miller also announcing their departure from GUHH earlier this month. Though he formerly served as an executive producer on the show, Romeo decided to leave GUHH because he was sick of the "fake" love triangle that the producers had created between himself, Angela, and Bow Wow. He and his father were not pleased with how the show portrayed them, and made the decision not to make any further appearances.

Egypt Criss' fiancé, Sam Mattick, also decided to leave GUHH, revealing that he'd lost out to three separate record deals due to how he's been portrayed on the show. Along with losing all these major cast members, GUHH and WE tv also have some legal troubles on their hands thanks to cast member Dame Dash. The Roc-A-Fella co-founder is suing them for allegedly requiring his son, Dame "Boogie" Dash II, to drink alcohol on camera, despite his past open struggles with substance abuse. The producers have retaliated, denying any wrongdoing and demanding the lawsuit be dismissed.

He explained his decision on Nick Cannon Mornings, telling listeners, “My mindset has changed. I have done that. I don’t like doing things that I am not good at. … If you jumped out of a plane one time and it did not work out—you would not do it again, would you?” Cannon asked. “I barely survived. Why would I jump out of the plane again?”
Cannon was married to Mariah Carey in 2008 and Carey birthed twins, Moroccan and Monroe, three years later.
The two filed for divorce in 2014, reconciled on and off for two years, and finally broke things off for good in 2016.
“It’s the funniest thing, my kids call me a player. I was like, ‘Who taught you that word? Who’s been talking to you?’ And [Moroccan’s] like, ‘Dad you can’t be a player forever.’ I’m like, this is the worst,” Cannon said.
“I am a hopeless romantic,” he continued. “So I was like, to be able to engage with someone and kinda just have a real moment opposed to always being about, ‘Oh, I’m searching, I’m looking, I’m single. I’m trying to fall back on that.”
