The release date for the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, has been bumped up a few days earlier than originally planned after experiencing a months-long delay due to the coronavirus pandemic. Per Deadline, MGM has announced that No Time To Die will now be occupying the release date of the Godzilla vs. King Kong, which was slated to come out on November 20th later this year. No Time To Die had been scheduled to be released on November 25th in the United States ever since it was announced on March 4th that the film would be postponed from its original release date of April 10th. However, the film has been rescheduled yet again, this time by just a few days.
When the first postponement was announced back in March, it was predicted that MGM would lose between $30-50 million as a result of the new date. However, producers indicated at the time that they were fully prepared for this financial hit, and supported the decision to reschedule the release.
"They obviously are doing the right thing by putting the public safety, world safety, first,” producer Barbara Broccoli said at the time. “How will coronavirus affect the whole world markets and affect trade in general?" producer Michael Wilson asked. "We’re just one of the people that have to work in that environment.”

No Time To Die, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, will see Daniel Craig returning as James Bond for his fifth and possibly final time. The film also stars Rami Malek, Ana de Armas, Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, and Christoph Waltz.
Netflix’s "Don’t F**k With Cats" Killer Denied Early Release Amid Coronavirus
Luka Magnotta, the convicted murderer from Netflix’s “Don’t F**k With Cats” series, will not be released from prison despite risk of contracting coronavirus.
Luka Magnotta, the convicted murder from Netflix’s Don’t F**k With Cats: Hunting An Internet Killer true crime documentary series, is not seeing the outside of a prison cell anytime soon despite coronavirus concerns. It was reported recently that the prison where the kitten killer, who went on to be convicted of murdering and dismembering a human being, currently resides has seen a number of coronavirus cases. There was speculation that, as a result, Luka may be released from the maximum security facility in Quebec, but according to The Correctional Service of Canada, there’s no chance of anything like that happening.
The CSC stated that “Mr. Magnotta is not eligible, under law, for any form of parole” until June 4th, 2034. The severity of the virus at the prison isn’t too extreme, though, with 11 out of the 15 inmates that tested positive having already recovered. There have been zero deaths so far, although 15 prison employees have also tested positive. Only low-level offenders with a lesser risk of posing a threat to the public are being considered for early release, which Luka is not. In 2014, he was sentenced to life in prison for committing first-degree murder after he was found guilty of killing international student, Jun Lin, in 2012.
6ix9ine’s Kidnapper’s Attempt For Early Release Shot Down
The judge determined Anthony “Harv” Ellison would be threat to society if he were released.
Tekashi 6ix9ine might be out on home confinement but other defendants in the federal case he was involved with aren’t seeing the same type of luck. According to Complex, the man convicted of kidnapping 6ix9ine, Anthony “Harv” Ellison, has been denied an early release in the wake of the pandemic. Ellison’s lawyer pleaded with the judge to get him out, especially since his “asthmatic condition” made him more susceptible to COVID-19.

“During a recent eight-day lockdown at the MCC, inmates on one unit reported having been forced to share one toilet, one shower, and one sink among twenty-six people, and were prevented from washing their clothing,” Ellison’s lawyer Deveraux Cannick wrote. “On other units, toilets overflowed in two-man cells, spreading raw sewage.”
Cannick argued that Ellison has been exhibiting “model” behavior as well as taking the necessary steps to attain higher education. Judge Paul Engelmayer, however, didn’t regard it the same way, citing Ellison’s “vicious conduct for which Ellison was convicted, his significant criminal history, his high-rank in Nine Trey, and his continued violence while incarcerated.” Apparently Ellison had attacked another inmate in Jan. 2019.
“Ellison’s history makes overwhelmingly clear that, if at liberty even subject to conditions of release, he would pose a grave threat of harm to the community,” Engelmayer wrote.
Ellison is now the fourth defendant convicted in the federal case that’s been denied an early release over COVID-19 concerns.
6ix9ine Co-Defendant Denied Early Release Despite COVID-19 Worries
Denard “Drama” Butler, a defendant in the 6ix9ine case, was denied an early release even though he has health issues that make him vulnerable to COVID-19.
Though 6ix9ine essentially received a slap on the wrist after cooperating with authorities in his federal case, he was released last week due to the coronavirus pandemic. 6ix9ine is asthmatic, making him a vulnerable inmate to the spread of COVID-19. However, one of the rapper’s co-defendants in the case who suffers from similar health issues was denied being placed in home confinement.

Complex reports Judge Paul Engelmayer has turned down Denard “Drama” Butler’s motion to be released early from prison to complete the remainder of his sentence on home confinement. Butler was sentenced to 60 months in prison for his involvement as a lower-tier member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. Butler suffers from asthma and bradycardia which also makes him just as much of a vulnerable inmate as 6ix9ine.
“COVID-19 presents a heightened risk for incarcerated defendants like Butler with respiratory and cardiac ailments,” Judge Engelmayer wrote, acknowledging that the crowded space inside of the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention center “present[s] an outsize risk that the COVID-19 contagion, once it gains entry, will spread.”
Ultimately, Judge Engelmayer decided against an early release due to Butler’s prior convictions that have shown a pattern of “violent and dangerous conduct.
“While the prospect of contracting COVID-19 undeniably presents a serious risk to Butler’s health, his release some 45 months early at least equally exposes the community to a serious risk that he would resume violence,” Engelmayer concluded.
Juelz Santana’s Wife Kimbella Launches Petition For His Release
Juelz Santana is expected to be released in early 2021 but Kimbella wants him to return home before then.
The Coronavirus pandemic has impacted just about every industry in the world, including the prison industry. Inmates have been pleading for better conditions, even before Coronavirus, but in the wake of the pandemic, there’s been an even larger discussion surrounding the unsanitary conditions many of these inmates are living in and the public health threat that it poses.
Juelz Santana‘s currently behind bars until February 2021 but his wife, Kimbella, is urging the public and officials to release Juelz Santana on home confinement. She recently launched a petition calling for officials to release him.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Released From Prison
Tekashi 6ix9ine has been granted an early release from prison due to the coronavirus outbreak, where he will serve the first four months on house arrest.
It was only a matter of time before we learned of Tekashi 6ix9ine's early release from prison and, finally, that moment has arrived.
As reported by Inner City Press, who has been following the court case for months, Judge Paul Engelmayer has approved the early release of rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine as a direct result of the coronavirus outbreak.
The star had originally appealed for his release, which was denied by the Bureau of Prisons. When presenting his case a second time, it was approved by the feds before the Judge co-signed the order and allowed him to leave.
This doesn't mean that 6ix9ine is completely off the hook though.

The rapper will spend the first four months on supervised release with a GPS monitor. He will not be allowed to leave the home unless he received permission from the court to see a doctor.
It is currently unclear if the recording artist has contracted COVID-19 or if his release is simply as a precaution. The rainbow-haired star has asthma and is considered "at-risk" of catching hard symptoms from the illness. His attorney previously said that he was having "shortness of breath."
Tekashi 6ix9ine was locked up on racketeering charged, getting caught up with the Nine Trey Bloods gang. He notoriously provided information to the feds throughout the trial, resulting in a lightened sentence for him.
What do you think 6ix9ine will do now that he's out?
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Request For Early Release Amid Coronavirus Denied
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s request to be released early from prison and serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest amid coronavirus has been denied.
Tekashi 6ix9ine‘s plea to the court to serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest to reduce his chances of contracting coronavirus has been denied by the judge, but there may be another way that the rapper can be released early. On Monday, we reported that 6ix9ine was fearing for his life behind bars, as the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 continues to rise within the New York prison system. According to his lawyer, Lance Lazarro, the rapper possesses a higher risk of contracting the virus, as he has multiple pre-existing conditions that render him more vulnerable to becoming infected. Last Halloween, 6ix9ine was diagnosed with bronchitis and sinusitis, which ultimately led him to be hospitalized.

Because of his client’s medical conditions, Lazarro implored Judge Paul Engelmeyer that 6ix9ine, who is set to be released in August, be granted early release from prison under the condition that he serve the remainder of his sentence under house request. In the letter sent to Judge Engelmeyer, Lazarro also noted that 6ix9ine has been experiencing shortness of breath—one of the primary symptoms of coronavirus—and that the prison facility’s doctor had recommended he be treated at a hospital, only for the warden to deny him that freedom.

Despite Lazarro’s efforts, though, Judge Engelmeyer has denied the request. According to legal documents, the court actually lacks the legal authority to grant the request in the first place. However, while Judge Engelmeyer may not be able to do 6ix9ine any favours, he suggested that Lazarro instead file the request with the Bureau of Prisons. Engelmeyer insisted that, at the time of sentencing, he would have directed that 6ix9ine’s final four months be served in home confinement had he known back then that a global pandemic would ensue to which 6ix9ine’s medical conditions would make him particularly vulnerable. According to TMZ, Lazarro believes that Judge Engelmeyer’s sympathetic response “is a strong recommendation to the Bureau of Prisons to release him immediately,” and thus plans to file the request with the BOP promptly. We’ll keep you updated on the BOP’s decision.
Disney+ Releases "Frozen 2" Early Due To Coronavirus
Disney+ has released “Frozen 2” three months earlier than planned to keep kids entertained while schools are closed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Disney+ has taken one for the team and decided to make Frozen 2 available for your viewing pleasure a whole three months before it was intended to be released on the streaming platform, as a kind gesture to the kids forced to stay home from school while the coronavirus pandemic persists. The rapid spread of coronavirus has been cause for major concern around the world, and has led to the cancellation and/or postponement of tons of big events. Among those are premieres for major studio films like the James Bond flick No Time To Die, one of the countless films that have had their initial release dates pushed back months (or, in some cases, years) due to the ever-present threat of coronavirus.

However, according to Deadline, Disney+ has done the exact opposite, pushing up the release of Frozen 2 into its catalogue three months early since, as a streaming service, it can. In light of the school closures occurring all around the world that are keeping kids at home with little to do, the major streaming platform has recognized how applicable the uplifting film is to the current state of affairs, and decided to put a little light out into a world that really needs it right now.

“The themes of perseverance and the importance of family are messages that are incredibly relevant during this time, and we are pleased to be able to share this heartwarming story early with our Disney+ subscribers to enjoy at home on any device,” said newly-instated Disney CEO, Bob Chapek. Frozen 2 will be available for streaming in the U.S. beginning Sunday, March 15th, and will be released internationally on Tuesday, March 17th in Canada, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand.
