Michael Jordan is one of the most successful athletes of all-time and will forever be known as one of the greatest players to ever do it. He is also insanely rich as his net worth is over $2 billion. When you have that much money, you are able to pick and choose whichever endorsements you believe are worth your time. Thanks to MJ's profile, he is constantly being hit up with huge opportunities although he doesn't always accept them.
Earlier this week, we reported on how MJ once turned down a $100 million deal even though it only required about two hours of his time. Now, Jordan's son Marcus is weighing in on this matter, noting that the company should have reached out to him as he would have had a lot more leverage with his father.
In typical Twitter fashion, the trolls entered Marcus' comments section and told him that his father still wouldn't have come through, most notably because he still buys Jordans off of the Nike SNKRS App. As hilarious as that is, you can't help but agree with the point Marcus is making. I mean, after all, you would think MJ would come through for his son, especially if $100 million was involved.
Regardless, it looks like we'll truly never know.
Michael Jordan’s Agent Recalls MJ Turning Down $100 Million Offer
All Michael Jordan needed to do was give a two-hour appearance.
Michael Jordan has a net worth of over $2 billion which just goes to show how successful he is both on and off of the court. Jordan’s salary while playing basketball is simply a fraction of what he has made thanks to various endorsement deals, including profits from his ultra-successful Jordan Brand.
Thanks to Jordan’s fame, brands are always coming to him with new opportunities and as his agent David Falk described, the NBA legend is incredibly picky about what he puts his name to. In an interview with WFAN’s Boomer and Gio radio, Falk explained that MJ even turned down a $100 million dollar deal.

“I brought him a deal three years ago for $100 million. All he had to do was, other than giving his name and likeness, make a one two-hour appearance to announce the deal and he turned it down,” Falk said. “God bless him. He’s been so successful, it gives him an opportunity to do whatever the hell he wants or not to do things he doesn’t want. I really admire that. He’s very, very selective in the things he wants to be involved in.”
Considering how little effort it would have been to make the money, it illustrates that MJ gets to pick and choose what he wants to do and that he’ll only put his name behind something if he truly believes in it. When it comes to the Charlotte Hornets, that still remains to be seen.

"Choosing Joe to be my vice president was one of the best decisions I ever made, and he became a close friend. And I believe Joe has all the qualities we need in a president right now,” Obama said. In wake of the coronavirus pandemic, Obama praised Biden for his efforts during the H1N1 pandemic in 2009 in helping "prevent the Ebola epidemic from becoming the type of pandemic we’re seeing now.”
“Joe has the character and the experience to guide us through one of our darkest times and heal us through a long recovery," Obama said.
Acknowledging his differences with Bernie Sanders, Obama praised the Vermont senator for fighting "to giving voice to working people’s hopes, dreams, and frustration."
“He and I haven’t always agreed on everything, but we’ve always shared a conviction that we have to make America a fairer, more just, more equitable society," Obama siad.

Bernie Sanders Officially Endorses Joe Biden
After cleaning the way for Joe Biden to secure the Democratic nomination, Bernie Sanders has thrown his support behind the cause.
Despite running an impressive grassroots campaign that elevated senator Bernie Sanders to a bonafide fan-favorite, his progressive outlook was ultimately too bitter a pill to swallow. When he needed them most, the voters left him high and dry, paving the way for his eventual departure from the race. In doing so, he essentially paved the way for Joe Biden to clinch the Democratic nomination, much to the annoyance of those seeking a complete reshuffling of the deck.
In any case, the board has been set, and Biden is to be the man moving forward. Despite the growing concern as to whether he’ll be able to last twelve rounds with Donald Trump, concerns no doubt echoed within the Bernie camp during his own campaign, it would appear the old adage “if you can’t beat em, join em” has held true once again.

CNN reports that Senator Sanders has officially thrown his weight behind Biden’s presidential movement. “We need you in the White House. I will do all that I can to see that that happens, Joe,” says Sanders, whose favor was returned by Biden himself. “I think that your endorsement means a great deal,” Biden replied. “It means a great deal to me. I think people are going to be surprised that we are apart on some issues but we’re awfully close on a whole bunch of others. I’m going to need you — not just to win the campaign, but to govern.”
Prior to giving his endorsement, Sanders made sure to converse with Biden on a variety of topics, including the implementation of task forces covering climate, education, immigration, the economy, criminal justice, and health care. Whether Sanders’ words are enough to convince his die-hard followers to jump ship remains to be seen, but it’s certainly a start. The only question is — can Biden secure the victory against Donald Trump in 2020?
Cardi B Gets Warning From FTC About Sponsored Detox Tea Ad
Cardi B and other Instagram users were warned by the Federal Trade Commission after failing to disclose their paid endorsements in sponsored detox tea ads.
Cardi B is among the many celebrities and influencers who received a warning from the Federal Trade Commission regarding their failure to disclose their paid endorsements from tea company, Teami, in their sponsored Instagram advertisements for Teami products. The FTC has declared that Teami, a company that sells “detox tea” products claiming to help with weight loss and even treat diseases, is guilty of misleading consumers with their advertisements. Teami has been accused of violating the FTC’s Endorsement Guides by paying influencers and celebrities to advertise their products on social media without requiring that these accounts disclose that these ads were sponsored.
“Today, there are more than 1 million Instagram posts that bear hashtags associated with detox teas on Instagram,” said Laura Smith, legal director of Truth in Advertising. “This means that on any given day, a countless number of young consumers are exposed to this egregious and widespread deceptive marketing issue.” The FTC has ordered the company to halt all misleading advertisements and return $1,000,000 to “consumers who were harmed.”

Further, the FTC has issued warnings to these celebrities and influencers like Cardi B who failed to disclose their sponsorship, including Jordin Sparks, Adrienne Bailon, Alexa PenaVega, Brittany Renner, and more. While stars like Kylie Jenner and Demi Lovato have previously been paid by Teami to advertise their products over social media, they did not receive warning letters from the commission.
Joe Rogan Responds After Bernie Sanders Endorsement Shocked The World
Joe Rogan clears the air.
Joe Rogan, host of the wildly popular Joe Rogan Experience, recently found himself on the receiving end of a media and Twitter-led thrashing. The reason being that he claimed he would be voting for Bernie Sanders. Sanders himself seized the opportunity to share the endorsement on his Twitter page, and like that Pandora’s box flung ajar. Now, speaking with comedian Mark Normand, Rogan took a moment to reflect on the situation.
“They’re using me to make him look bad,” begins Joe, speaking on the matter for the first time. “That he used my endorsement. I had no idea they were going to do that. And all I said was I’d probably vote for him. Here’s a really important point — I’m a fuckin’ moron. If you’re basing who you’re going to vote for president based on what I like? I’m not that balls deep into the stuff.” He also comments on how the masses did exactly what he predicted in the initial video, cherrypicking select quotes and points in order to paint him in an unflattering light. “It’s hard to do that with Bernie, cause he’s a very consistent guy.”

“Fuckin’ CNN printed something saying I was homophobic and transphobic and there’s a clip they’re using that’s completely out of context,” he continues. “If you’re a trans person listening to this, I got nothing but love for you…This had to do with fighting.” He explains that the video in question centers around controversial a MMA fighter who spent transitioned to become a woman after thirty years. “She started fighting women in MMA and didn’t tell them that she used to be a man,” explains Joe. “Smashing girls. Literally broke a girl’s skull, broke her face. And was kind of bragging about it, hyping up her MMA career.”
“If she disclosed it and everybody knew, I’m a hundred percent in favor,” he says. “If you’re a woman who wants to fight a trans woman and see how you do.” He maintains that he isn’t transphobic in the slightest, and spoke only of athletics in that particular situation. “In terms of your gender identity and what you want to do, I don’t care!” As for the accusations of homophobia, Rogan makes his case. “I love gay people,” he maintains. “But I make fun of them.”
Though the narrative certainly might have painted Rogan in a negative light, he reveals that many actually came forward in support. “Psychology Today wrote an article about how the media is gaslighting [me],” says Joe. “Have I said stupid shit? A hundred percent. I’ve done fourteen hundred plus podcasts, a lot of them high. I said a bunch of stupid stuff – I like to say inappropriate words, because we’re comics. It doesn’t mean I’m homophobic or racist or sexist or transphobic. It’s just not true.” He proceeds to recognize the influence of his own podcast, to the point where its influence cannot be denied. “I don’t think I want to have anything to do with politics after this.”
Dave Chappelle Endorses Presidential Candidiate Andrew Yang After Donald Glover
#YangGang is getting strong.
Before the New Year, we posted how Donald Glover was one of the famous faces to support Andrew Yang's presidential campaign and now it looks as though the political candidate has yet another famous face on his side. According to Variety, none other than comedian Dave Chapelle is made it clear that he's officially apart of the #YangGang. The publication details how Dave will be campaigning for Andrew later this month, performing at two benefit shows in South Carolina on the 29th and 30th.

"Dave is one of the most important voices in our country today and I’m thrilled he has thrown his support behind this campaign,” Andrew said in an official release. “He and I share similar concerns about the future and hopes for what it could be. We are also parents who see the world that we are leaving to our kids and believe they deserve better.”
Donald not only co-signed Yang but was also named his creative consultant. The extent of the role is still unclear but we do know that the Los Angeles pop up shop for Yang had merchandise designed by Donald and his team put on full display. The clothing was described as embodying “the core policies and values of Andrew Yang’s Humanity First platform and future collaborations are expected.”
