No matter how hard some of those pesky stans may try, there appears to be no hostility between Megan Thee Stallion & Beyoncé and Doja Cat & Nicki Minaj despite their respective remixes charting in close quarters. Ever since Megan's remix of "Savage" with Beyoncé dropped just two days before Doja's remix of "Say So" with Nicki last week, it's been a tight race between the two female-led tracks for the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100. However, despite the friendly competition on the charts, Nicki made it clear how she feels about the historic moment by responding to one inquiring fan.
"How do you feel about two female rap songs being on the top of the billboard charts next week?" the fan asked Ms. Minaj. "How does it make you feel? It’s gonna be iconic."

"I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to be a part of this kind of history," Nicki replied. "I love all the girls involved. It just feels like an epic moment to witness & be a part of @ the same damn time." Megan saw that Nicki had expressed love not only to her but to Doja and Beyoncé as well, and decided to reciprocate.

Although these ladies are clearly refusing to be pitted against one another, Doja in particular is going to extreme lengths to get her and Nicki to No. 1. Although it's been predicted that "Savage" remix will likely be taking the throne next week, Doja has made a promise to her fans if "Say So" manages to pull through: she's going to show everyone her boobs. Alas, only time will tell if this is enough of an incentive to beat out "Savage" for the top spot.
Kid Cudi Is Turning Selena Gomez Into A Hip-Hop Head
Kid Cudi and Selena Gomez have become close friends and are going through some of the most legendary female rappers together.
You wouldn't exactly peg Selena Gomez as a hip-hop head. The pop star has never shown too much of an affinity for the genre, seemingly only collaborating with rappers when it's beneficial to her. On her latest album though, she struck a friendship with Kid Cudi, collaborating with the great on "A Sweeter Place" and, throughout their friendship, Cudder has apparently been trying to get her more into rap. He's starting with some of the female icons.
In a new interview with Zane Lowe for the "At Home" series on Apple Music, Selena Gomez revealed the extent of her friendship with Kid Cudi, which includes unreleased music and a bunch of awesome song suggestions.

"He's the one who really has me listening to Da Brat, Missy Elliott, all of these, Eve, all of these female rappers," said Selena Gomez about Cudi. "Like, he started to kind of show me a little bit. And they're royalty. ... He's the best guy. He played me this song and I freaked out because he's played me a lot of his songs and I'm like, 'I want these to be out in the world.' But this one he did and it's such an anthem."
Elsewhere in the interview, Gomez spoke about her love for artists like Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift.
Viral "Top 50 Best Female Rappers" List Crowns Nicki Minaj Queen
This latest Top 50 list seems destined to spark conversation.
List-a-mania has returned, sort of. This morning, Shade Room shared an interesting list detailing “The Top 50 Greatest Female Rappers Of All Time.” Given the inherent certainty of such rankings, Top 50s are bound to stir debate. Questions of misplaced order and omissions run rampant, sometimes from artists scorned. Here, we have what looks to be a relatively well-rounded one, at least insofar as inclusion goes. As to the order, well, is perfection ever really achievable?

Off the bat, the list makes a grand statement with Nicki Minaj in the number one spot, a testament to her oft-thrown around “Queen” title. Missy Elliott comes through at number two, Lil Kim at three, Queen Latifah and Lauryn Hill at four and five. Ruff Ryders’ first lady Eve secures the sixth spot while Young MA rounds out the top ten. Longstanding veterans Foxy Brown, Da Brat, and Trina hit eleven, twelve, and thirteen, while Flipmode lyricist Rah Diggah holds it at number seventeen. Several of today’s fresh faces fared well enough, with Cardi B at fifteen and Megan Thee Stallion at sixteen.
While it’s difficult to discern clear criteria, the list appears well versed in many different hip-hop eras. Longevity, catalog, flow, lyricism, and overall impact seems to have played a part, with talent being more or less respected by the creators. Check out the list below, and sound off with your take — did whoever made this list come through, or is this latest viral Top 50 a complete misfire?
Nicki Minaj & Cardi B Get Their Flowers, Thanks In Part To T.I.
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B have earned new exhibits at the Atlanta Trap Music Museum.
The last decade of female rap has been absolutely dominated by Nicki Minaj, who has affectionately referred to herself as the Queen. There is no denying that point. With limited competition standing in her way, the New York rapper hustled to the top and remained there because of her outstanding ability to write punch-line bars, catchy flows, and hard-hitting similes. Her personality shines through on every track she hits. In recent years, we’ve witnessed an influx of talented female rappers entering the game, with Cardi B leading the charge. A bunch of potential superstars are bubbling right now but Cardi B has rightfully earned her place in hip-hop history and, this weekend, she will permanently be celebrated as a pioneer alongside her longtime nemesis Nicki Minaj.

This summer, temporary pop-up exhibits in Los Angeles celebrated the success of Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. Needing an estrogen-fueled flare in the popular Atlanta Trap Music Museum, those stations will become permanent over the weekend according to an announcement AJC. Krystal Gardner, the general manager of the museum which was brought to life by T.I. two years ago, noted that she has been looking for ways to have more women involved in the space and this was the perfect decision for them to make.
If you’re in the area, this will definitely be worth a visit. Check out the photos above and below to get a sneak peek into what was displayed over the summer.
