Rihanna is throwing the virtual party of the year on Instagram live tonight.
Rihanna is making sure to keep us all entertained during quarantine by hopping on the Instagram live concert bandwagon and throwing a virtual event of her own. The multihyphenate mogul announced on Thursday (April 9th) that she’ll be hosting the very first “Fenty Social Club” party on Friday night, and we’re all invited. The live concert has a stacked lineup, featuring DJ sets from Kitty Ca$h, DJ Pedro, and Stretch Armstrong and a performance by British rapper Octan. Although we’re keeping our fingers crossed, it’s unclear whether Rih herself will be performing as well. The virtual event will take place at 6:00pm EST/3:00pm PST. Click here for the digital invite.
Riri has been busy during quarantine, ensuring (from a distance) that those most deeply affected by the coronavirus pandemic are taken care of. She made a five million dollar donation through her Clara Lionel Foundation toward a few different organizations that are working to combat the pandemic, followed by an additional million dollars matched by Jay-Z through his Shawn Carter Foundation toward coronavirus relief. She also donated $700,000 worth of ventilators to Barbados, as well as some much-needed personal protective equipment to New York State. Unfortunately, Rih also had to send a ventilator to her dad, Ronald Fenty, after he was diagnosed with coronavirus recently. Feel better Mr. Fenty!
Stephen A. Smith Has Hilarious Debut As "First Take" Host
Stephen A. Smith absolutely terrorized the cast of "First Take" this morning.
Stephen A. Smith continues to be one of the most hilarious personalities on television especially when it pertains to the sports world. He has been keeping fans entertained on First Take during this quarantine and honestly, we can't thank him enough. In this time of uncertainty, Smith has provided laughs and some much-needed sports hot takes that have gotten our minds off everything that is going so horribly wrong right now.
Today, host Molly Qerim was having some technical difficulties and wasn't able to moderate the first hour of the show. Depending on who you ask, this is actually a good thing, but we digress. The genius producers over at ESPN decided it would be a great idea if Smith were to host and moderate the show. Turns out they were right as Stephen A. ruthlessly turned the show into a dictatorship in which he forced Max Kellerman and other panelists to give their takes swiftly, or face punishment.
Kellerman and company thought it was all pretty hilarious as they begged and pleaded for Qerim to return in short order. Eventually, she made her way to the moderator's chair and the show went on as it normally would. Smith's performance just proves to us that you can't pay the man enough. We're in the middle of a global pandemic and Smith is still carrying ESPN on his back.
When this is all over, there will certainly be a deeper appreciation for Stephen A.
Daniel Craig Provides Parody Preview Of "No Time To Die" On "SNL"
Daniel Craig served as host on Saturday Night Live and appeased Bond fans with sneak peak of “No Time To Die”.
As the spread of Coronavirus continues to wreak havoc and derail plans across the globe, it was announced that the forthcoming James Bond film, No Time To Die, is having its release postponed from April to November 2020. Public health concerns could likely lead to theatres being temporarily closed in multiple countries, which would seriously harm box office numbers and disappoint Bond fanatics. Obviously, the movie’s star, Daniel Craig, had to address this turn of events during his Saturday Night Live monologue.
Craig told the audience how the film’s producers were kind enough to allow him to air a new preview of No Time To Die during SNL. The sneak peak takes place in a casino, where James Bond enters and immediately starts fancying a fine lady. While this is usually the part in a Bond movie where the female love interest swoons over the secret agent, in this parody, he lacks any charisma. His smoothness, his propriety and his composure are totally absent. He’s a messy and unlucky gambler at a chaotic Craps table.
Also on SNL last night, The Weeknd premiered a new song titled “Scared To Live” off his upcoming album After Hours. He also performed the previously-released single, “Blinding Lights”.
Offset To Host Epic Strip Club After Party For NBA All-Star Game
Offset will be commander-in-chief at Ocean Gentleman’s Club on Sunday night.
Apparently, NBA All-Star weekend is just as much about the strippers as it is about the basketball players. It’s clear that the weekend’s events promote ditching the competitive spirit of the regular season in favor of some more lighthearted fun, but the extent of the partying that goes on may be a lesser known fact. For all those out of the loop, TMZ just gave us some inside scoop about what goes down at the after-hour All-Star celebrations.

As TMZ put it, “NBA All-Star Weekend is like an annual Super Bowl for the strippers.” Strippers fly across the country to whichever city happens to be hosting the year’s All-Star game in hopes of offering their services at its top strip clubs. Some clubs require dancers to pay fees of $300 to $350 per night to be added to their roster. Other clubs recruit women from other states to ensure their patrons receive the best possible entertainment. Considering the large sums of cash these customers come prepared to dispense, it’s important to keep them pleased. Sources over at Ocean Gentleman’s Club, Factory and Club O detailed that each club will have $450,000 in single dollar bills waiting to be tossed in the air.
Offset was enlisted to host one of the biggest affairs of the weekend – Ocean Gentleman’s Club’s Sunday night party after the All-Star Game. Turntable legend Kid Capri hosted that club’s Saturday night bash. Based on Offset’s birthday celebrations back in December, we know he’s capable of tearing down a club and leaving its floor carpeted in cash.
Kevin Hart Feels No Type Of Way About The Oscars Remaining Hostless
Hart may have started something.
Kevin Hart was caught in one of the biggest scandals of the last few years when old tweets of his resurfaced and put him in a tough position with the LGBTQ community. As we’re sure you remember, Hart tweeted out some jokes that were seen as homophobic, and the Academy asked him to apologize to the LGBTQ community. Hart refused, stepped down from his Oscar host position, and the ceremony went hostless. Although it was expected to be an awkward situation, the Oscars without a host actually went on smoothly. It seems like the Oscars were happy with the results, and have opted to remain hostless for the 2020 ceremony.
TMZ caught up with Kevin Hart as he was leaving Bootsy Bellows early Sunday morning in West Hollywood and asked him how he felt about the Oscars opting out of getting a host this year. Hart seemed unbothered, although he seemed reluctant to speak with TMZ at first. After the initial cold shoulder, Hart answered the question as he gets into his vehicle. “I’m a fan of the Oscars, always have been,” stated Hart. “It’s no feeling, it’s not a problem, it’s a good thing on both sides.” The 2020 Oscars will air on February 9.
