Joey Bada$$, the mind behind 2017's All Amerikkkan Bada$$, is no stranger to voicing political opinions. And with the United States of America currently in the midst of a societal revolution, with thousands upon thousands of protestors lining the streets to protest systemic racism, police brutality, and more, Joey's politically-themed album rings all the more poignant. Today, the Badmon took to Twitter to make a declaration against the enemy as he sees it, the MAGA supporters and their leader President Donald Trump.

"MAGA is a cult," he declares. "Fully equipped with the God Complexed incompetent leader." He continues, offering a suggestion as to what might be done to stave off the members of said cult. "From now on we are referring to the aforementioned as, MAGATS (pronounced MAGGOTS)," he writes, a post bound to draw the ire of his Trump-supporting followers.
While rappers, with the sole exception of Kanye West, have never had much love for Donald Trump, it appears as if the floodgates have been kicked open and the animosity is free to spread unimpeded. Expect rappers to engage in open confrontation with Trump supporters on their respective Twitter pages, especially as the upcoming election draws closer.
Joey Bada$$ Claims His Music Is Being Removed From Streaming Services
Joey Bada$$ says he is being censored as the "All-Amerikkkan Badass" album was reportedly removed from Apple Music.
New York rapper Joey Bada$$ is currently working on new music, teasing the arrival of a brand new album sometime soon but, right now, he's more focused on restoring his previous releases on streaming services.
This week, he started receiving messages from fans that they were unable to listen to his ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADASS album on Apple Music, which led him to address his supporters Instagram Stories.
"If my music is blocked on your streaming channels plz screenshot and send to me," wrote Jozif Badmon. "Also let me know what country/city you're in. They will not censor my messages with no reprucussion."

Multiple people reported errors as they tried to listen to songs like "AMERIKKKAN IDOL" and "LAND OF THE FREE." The album is more relevant now after the killing of George Floyd than ever before, so it's confusing why Apple Music would decide to axe it from their library. The 25-year-old addressed the topic on his Twitter account.
"WOKE UP TO MFS CENSORING MY MUSIC," he wrote, urging people to continue sending him screenshots so that he could build a case with the streaming services.
Hopefully, this issue gets resolved soon. Have you been having problems playing ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADASS by Joey Bada$$ this week?
Joey Bada$$ Vows New Music While Taking Jab At "Rainbow Boy"
Joey Bada$$ took a moment to unleash every thought that popped in his head, culminating in the promise of some new solo music.
Joey Bada$$ fans have achieved zen-like levels of patience, having been left wondering when and if the New York lyricist would ever return in proper solo fashion. It's been three years since his last album All Amerikkkan Bada$$, and though he did play a prominent role on Beast Coast's 2019 compilation Escape From New York, many have been eager to see what he brings to the table on his next release. And if Joey's strange and amusing Twitter rant is to be believed, the time is nearly upon us.

"NEW MUSIC IS CUMMIN SO FCKIN SOON MY DICK IS HARD," he writes, taking a moment to get pornographic with his analogies. "THIS IS NOT A HACK. DROPPING MUSIC IS LIKE CUMMIN AND I HAVENT FUCKED IN SO LONG. Okay maybe it be less dramatic if I compare it to tears?? I haven’t cried in so long dawg, I just wanna cry Loudly." Well, that's one way to put it.
"Just to think I had a whole child (who is now 2 years old) since I dropped new music, reflects Badmon, putting the timeline in startling perspective. "Just to think I haven’t dropped new music since the duration of rainbow boy’s career," he continues, alluding the infamous Tekashi 6ix9ine -- the same person who has never quite stopped laying claim to the New York throne.
Toning down the antics for a moment, he goes on to make his fans a sincere promise. "I’m planning something special for y’all real real soon that will be so worth the wait," he confirms. "Until then I’m plotting on these rental properties. Y’all stay healthy and blessed. Good day." All things considered, are you excited to see what Joey has been cooking up?
Joey Bada$$ Partners With Non-Profit To Help Homeless Students In NYC, Donates $25K
Joey Bada$$ is making sure that no child is left behind, so he’s partnered with a non-profit to provide aid for homeless students in New York City.
As people take to the streets of their prospective cities as they’ve grown tired of being locked indoors due to the COVID-19 quarantine, it seems as if the pandemic is almost over. However, just because folks are refusing to obey “Stay Home” orders doesn’t mean that coronavirus still isn’t a threat. Millions are still affected as the quarantine remains in effect in many places all over the world, and rapper Joey Bada$$ has shared that he’s partnered with Fund for Public Schools to help homeless students in the New York City area.

“Now this COVID-19 crisis has been tough on a lot of us, but I can only imagine how hard it is on the homeless students,” Joey Bada$$ said in a video he shared to Instagram.”In the New York City public school system, there are about 1.1 million students currently enrolled. Over 110,000 of them are actually homeless. Now that’s about 1 in 10, and 85 percent of those kids are Hispanic or black. And that’s why I’m partnering up The Fund for Schools and the Department of Education to help them stay on track. Please join me in our efforts to support our most vulnerable students prepare for a brighter future.”
Additionally, the rapper wrote in the caption to his clip that he would personally be donating $25K. Check it out below.
Joey Bada$$ & Denzel Curry Playfully Diss Each Other Over IG Live
Joey Bada$$ and Denzel Curry were firing shot after shot at each other during an Instagram live session, but it was clearly all in good fun.
Nothing like a good-natured roast between close friends. On Thursday (May 14th), Joey Bada$$ and Denzel Curry linked up over Instagram live where they hilariously dunked on each other's music. At one point during the exchange, Joey began roasting Denzel for the lack of appeal that his hypothetical after-parties possess.
"First of all, I’ve never even heard of a Denzel Curry after-party," Joey declares. "Who the f*ck wants to go to a Denzel Curry after-party?!" Denzel fires back by taking a jab at Joey's rap style, exclaiming, "Man who the hell wanna hear 'boom-bap' in the club?!"

Denzel continues to drag Joey's discography, specifying that he "ain’t tryna hear" Joey's debut mixtape, 1999, in the club. "I'm tryna hear DaBaby," he adds. Joey admits that while he "ain’t got no records in the club" at least he can get people to come to his after-parties.

"Play got-damn ‘Survival Tactics’ [in the club], what’s gon' happen?" Denzel points out, referring to one of the 'boom-bap' joints off 1999. "Lit," Joey insists. "You gon’ get punched in the face." However, Denzel disagrees. "My shit is gon’ get lit,” he retorts. “Your shit gon’ be like, ‘Yea..yea…'" While they're clearly engaging in some lighthearted ridicule in this instance, these two rappers are used to battling it out with each other. Last November, Joey and Denzel went head-to-head in a rap duel for the ages at Red Bull Music's Zeltron World Wide. Perhaps they'll set out for round two over IG live sometime soon now that they've got all this free time (and clearly love one-upping each other in a friendly manner).
Joey Bada$$ Opens Up About His Anticipated New Album
Joey Bada$$ opens up about his forthcoming solo album, promising a more “fun” tone and a concise runtime.
It’s been a little over three years since Joey Bada$$ dropped off his last solo album All Amerikkkan Bada$$, a politically-charged and lush reflection on the state of the world. In the meantime, it’s been relatively quiet on the artistic front for the Brooklyn lyricist, though not one completely devoid of productivity. Lest we forget about Beast Coast’s 2019 collaborative drop, a project on which he was heavily involved, and his turn on the acclaimed series Mr. Robot.
Still, fans have been eager to see what a new Badmon solo drop would look like, and it would seem the time is nigh for exactly that. Today, Complex shared an interview with Joey, who opened up about his creative process and why things have been taking a little longer than expected. In truth, it’s actually rather refreshing to hear his perspective, especially given the recent trend of churning out music at a rapid pace.

“It’s not fast food,” he tells the publication “it’s not something that keeps coming, even though I’d like it to be like that, and my fans would like it to be like that. But I just need time. I’m talking about my life, talking about my experiences. That doesn’t always happen in six months. Sometimes, not much happens in six months that’s super significant to express through art. Or sometimes you need another six months to even process what you just went through.”
He also confirms that the project will be arriving within a six-month window, and given his disdain for extensive albums, look for it to skew closer to concise. And while the interview took place prior to the coronavirus pandemic, Joey did indicate a more lighthearted tone on this go-around — though not at the cost of telling his story. “It will speak towards the growth as both an artist and as a man. I’m just trying to find new ways to open up and to tell my story—more parts of it that haven’t been told,” he explains. “Also, I’m having fun this time around. I’m trying to have more fun than I’ve ever had, because it’s a very fun time for me right now. A lot of exciting things are happening.”
Joey Bada$$ Makes An Exciting Promise
Joey Bada$$ has his fans on the edge of their seats with a new tweet signalling his return soon.
Several years have passed since the last studio album release from Joey Bada$$ but, thankfully, we may not need to wait much longer to receive the next.
Fans of the Brooklyn rapper have been begging him to drop for the last couple of years, replaying All-Amerikkkan Badass as they wait. The 25-year-old has been working in the studio, but he has failed to offer a timetable as to when his next full-length release will come. As the month of April soon comes to a close, Badmon revealed the possibility of new music on the horizon, telling fans that he would soon reward them for their patience.
"Life sucks rn, yes!?," wrote the multi-faceted artist on Twitter. ".....But on the bright side, we get closer to new Joey Bada$$ music everyday :) you will be rewarded for your patience I promise."
In such uncertain times, it has been difficult to imagine what life will be like post-COVID19. Thankfully, it would appear as though that world includes some artistic genius from the man himself, Joey Bada$$.
Outside of music, the Pro Era rapper has reportedly signed on for an acting role in the Power spin-off series Raising Kanan. He is set to play a drug kingpin in the prequel.

Guapdad 4000, Curren$y, & Joey Bada$$ Flip An Akon Classic
Guapdad 4000 launches his fifth installment of “Rona Raps,” featuring guest verses from Joey Bada$$ and Curren$y.
Guapdad 4000 has been filling the void left by the absence of proper radio freestyles, which has all but ensured a scarcity of BARS. Thanks to his ongoing collaborative series Rona Raps, currently enjoying its fifth week, Guap has been ably keeping the spirit alive. With previous appearances from Buddy, Chris Brown, Denzel Curry, Wiz Khalifa, Rich Brian, and Lil Yachty, his fifth episode finds him calling on Joey Bada$$ and Curren$y to lay waste to an Akon classic.

Though he’s in esteemed company, Guap once again proves he’s among the game’s wittiest punchline rappers. “Skeet skeet on a pastor’s daughter at the church rap, she gave me big top on Sundays – that’s my church hat,” he raps. “Grill bounce light off my face, that’s solar flexin / give her something light in her stomach, that solar plexus.” Joey Bada$$ slides in next, his reflection on the current state of affairs appropriately bleak. “2020 vision shit that I done foreseen, walking outside shit looking like a horror scene,” he raps. “Can’t even cop no groceries without no glove and mask / everybody lookin’ like they bout to do a dash.”
It’s Curren$y, however, who steals the show with a dexterous update on his own situation. “I just copped a Rolls truck and I can’t roll around, unless I’m going to the store for somethin’ essential,” laments Spitta. “Lysol, toilet tissue, plastic cups, liquor, sour skittles / Hot Wheels i buy for my son? my grown ass, I be in the house playing with him.” Check it out for yourself, and should it make you want to revisit Akon and Styles P‘s classic “Locked Up,” take comfort in knowing that you wouldn’t be alone.
Joey Bada$$ Raps About Pop Smoke’s Death
New York rapper Joey Bada$$ spits some freestyled bars following the death of Pop Smoke.
The city of New York -- and specifically the borough of Brooklyn -- are feeling the loss of Pop Smoke hard after celebrating the 20-year-old as one of their fast-rising talents, identifying within him and watching him steadily grow into one of the would-be breakout stars of the year. With a stellar debut for Meet The Woo 2, clocking in the seventh spot on the Billboard 200 in its first week out, Pop Smoke was on pace for something special in 2020 and, following his murder, his New York contemporaries are reacting in their own ways. Nicki Minaj and 50 Cent suggested that they think jealousy had something to do with his death just hours after reading the initial reports, while Joey Bada$$ has officially reacted with some straight bars, as only he can.

One of the better lyricists in the new school of hip-hop, 25-year-old Joey Bada$$ uploaded a video to Instagram where he addresses the death of Pop Smoke, freestyling and noting that he was about to lay down the vocals in the booth.
"A lil something I wrote in light of all the fucked up shit goin on rn," wrote Badmon in his caption, going off for over a minute with a very tight flow. Many people are saying in the comments that this brings back 1999 vibes.
The Pro Era member isn't the only person to have teased a musical offering inspired by the life of Pop Smoke. Yesterday, Lil Tjay kicked off the tribute offerings by releasing his latest effort "Forever Pop."

First look at Migos and Joey Bada$$ in Madden NFL 20's Superstar KO Mode.
EA Sports has today announced another update to their brand new Superstar KO Mode, as Migos and Joey Bada$$ get "in the game" as playable characters for the first time. The four artists join fellow hip-hop stars DJ Khaled, Lil Yachty and Snoop Dogg who are already playable in-game as unstoppable Superstar Icons.
Joey Bada$$ shared the hype of being played by fans everywhere in Madden NFL 20: “I’ve been playing Madden since I was a kid, so to be in the game is really next level – I can’t wait for my fans to see my skills on the field and win with me in Superstar KO.”
Superstar KO, an online exclusive mode, features eight pre-made base teams, each of which features different strengths and weaknesses and condensed playbooks. For instance, a run-heavy team, an air-it-out shotgun offense, and another filled with defensive studs.
Players will take part in a mini draft prior to the start of the game, with the ability to add three players to their roster. These players include current stars like Christian McCaffrey and DeAndre Hopkins, as well as legends like Jerry Rice and Lawrence Taylor.
As for the gameplay: there are no special teams or game clock. Each team gets one turn on offense (starting at the 25 yard line), and whoever has the highest score moves on to play another game with their squad. If the teams are tied, the game moves into an interesting overtime situation where each team gets three offensive plays to gain as many yards as possible.
