Ever since Trick Daddy's new girlfriend, Nikki Natural, made her debut on Love & Hip Hop: Miami as an aspiring rapper who is a fraction of Trick's age, she has definitely not been a fan favourite. Not only were Trick and Nikki dragged for their massive age difference, but Nikki also claimed to be celibate, which seems unlikely if a supposed discovery from Monday's episode turns out to be true. Nikki was already in very few people's good graces after getting disrespectful with Trina on an earlier episode, but now it looks like even Trick wants nothing to do with her. During an argument about the Trina incident, Trick's estranged wife, Joy Young, revealed that she had it on good authority that Nikki had previously been involved with rapper and fellow cast member, Brisco, only two weeks prior when Trick and Nikki were already seeing each other.
Though Nikki denies this claim, Trick chooses to believe the woman he's known for 20 years instead. In a rage, Trick kicks Nikki to the curb with Joy's support, seemingly signalling the end of their short-lived romance. As usual, avid L&HH viewers took to Twitter to share their reactions, practically everyone dragging Nikki.
Remy Ma Put On Blast For Her Questionable Bars About Motherhood In "L&HH" Clip
Remy made a bold statement about what a "real" mother is.
A clip from Monday night's episode of Love & Hip Hop: New York, shows rapper Remy Ma in the recording studio, dropping some bars that did not sit well with viewers. Holding her daughter, Reminisce Mackenzie, in one arm, Remy holds her phone in her other hand, where she reads off the lyrics into the mic. The first few lines, in which Remy spits, "They got this saying, 'integrity comes first.' Social media makes it worse," were not the cause of any controversy surrounding the clip. Instead, the Internet decided to focus on the message—and delivery—of the new few lyrics.
"Real mothers don't...twerk," Remy exclaims, with a pause between "don't" and "twerk" that comes across as way funnier than it should. Because we can't hear the beat that Remy's flow is attempting to match, the pause seems to be non-sensical. The result of Remy's insinuation that a "real," i.e. "good" mother doesn't twerk, as if a woman can't do both, coupled with this comical brief silence had the Internet in tears.
However, it's the next few lines that are sparking more serious discourse on the clip. Many folks are taking issue with the lyrics that follow. "She a nurse. Wash the clothes, make dinner and dessert" further re-enforce Remy's implications that, instead of twerking, a real mother has a "proper" profession like being a nurse, and does domestic duties like laundry and cooking. Remy's recording session then gets interrupted by her baby, and the timing almost makes it seem as if Reminisce herself is objecting to her own mother's ideas about motherhood. While this is obviously just a coincidence and good editing, plenty of people did object to Remy's ideas, calling her out on her hypocrisy and saying the lyrics are "misogynistic."
Cyn Santana’s Off-Key Singing Had "Love & Hip-Hop" Viewers Clowning Her Hard
Some fans think Cyn Santana should give up her musical aspirations.
There are always plenty of talking points coming out of each episode of Love & Hip Hop. Whether you prefer the New York, Miami, Hollywood, or other spin-off versions of the popular series, the show will always be wildly entertaining because of the ridiculous amounts of drama being displayed throughout its runtime. Without question, Love & Hip Hop always tries to steal the attention away from competing programs, using antics and sheer nonsense to get the crowd coming back for more. Cyn Santana has become a staple of the show alongside of ex-boyfriend Joe Budden and, during a recent episode, she could be seen testing out her chops in the recording studio. The results were ear-clenching for most viewers with some taking to social media to formally request Cyn puts down the microphone.
A prominent storyline exiting the new episode of Love & Hip-Hop: New York entails the love triangle between Cyn Santana, Joe Budden and Tahiry. Another aspect of the show is being discussed online too, making this quite a busy week for Santana on the headline front. Scenes of her prepping a new song were included in the show and, unfortunately, a negative effect was left on the audience who simply wants the reality star to go back to whatever she was doing before music.
"Cyn needs to go back to school or find another rich man or get her model-game up," wrote one fan on Twitter. "No Questions ur ass should not be singing," said another.
Do you think Cyn Santana has a future in music or should she quit while she's ahead?
