An angry McDonald's customer took to publically shaming 21 year-old single father, and McDonald's employee, Simon Childs, after she found him sleeping in one of the chain's booths. She took to social media to try to get support for her trash attempt at humiliating the homeless Childs, detailing how she tried to complain to another McDonald's worker that Childs' snoozing was getting in the way of her enjoying her gourmet meal, to which the worker responded that they know him and it's okay, but the woman was not pleased, saying: "not really but whatever 😠." Now, news of her audacity has sparked a flood of support for Childs, who's said he's "not homeless, not now, thanks to her."
Hollywood Unlocked, has identified the woman as Luann Cofield. Cofield was eating at a McDonald's in Fayette County, Georgia when she noticed Childs sleeping in a nearby booth and decided she would take to Facebook to post a photo of him and express her irritation over his struggles, blaming the homeless population for "just another reason for me to leave Fayetteville."
Childs had recently lost his mother and had to care for his young child all by himself. "Everything I do, I want to work for it," Childs told local news station WSB-TV. "It kind of hurt to see my picture up there, you know? I thought it was something negative and nobody would care about it." In a turn of events however, Cofield's post actually ended up indirectly inspiring members of the community to donate to Childs in an attempt to get him back on his feet. Some people took to donating hotel rooms, while others dropped diapers, clothes, and other supplies off for him at the McDonald's. "They changed my life in a couple of days," he said. Two local entrepreneurial Chefs, Xavier and Theo Thomas, even offered to let Childs borrow their car so he can more easily get to job interviews. "It definitely will help him get around and give him a better opportunity," Thomas said.
Daniel Bregoli Says Tweet That Got Her Show Canceled Was Just A Joke
She thinks people are too sensitive nowadays.
She became a worldwide phenomenon years ago following her “cash me outside” stint on Dr. Phil, and although she’s still in her teens, Danielle Bregoli is an international superstar. She used her viral publicity to help shape her rap career and she performs for fans all over the globe. However, her brash, often unhinged attitude continues to cause her trouble, as she recently experienced because of a tweet.
Bregoli, known professionally as Bhad Bhabie, was tweeted a message in Arabic. The rapper responded, “Why yes, I do like McDonald’s fries. They be tasting good as f*** sometimes. I appreciate u asking bich. Much love.” Unbeknownst to Bregoli, the person tweeting her was a popular marathon runner who was saying that the public should boycott the artist because he believed that she was a supporter of Israel.

Promoters of her upcoming show in Jordan didn’t find humor in her response, so they canceled the July 8 event. TMZ caught up with Bregoli as she made her way through Los Angeles International Airport and asked her if in the future she would be more careful of what she tweets. “No,” she said. “I don’t know why they were so sensitive to that. It was something about McDonald’s. I don’t even know what to say about that. They said something [and] I didn’t understand it, so I was just [joking back].”
She also said that she has no problem performing in Jordan if she’s asked to come back. “I’ll go anywhere I’m making money at,” she said. “I’m not gonna go to kiss ass though.” The cameraman then asked her if she would perform in Russia, China, or the West Bank—all controversial areas of the world—and Bregoli said yes. Well, she admitted to not knowing where the West Bank was but she said she would still perform there.
R. Kelly Tells Ex-Wife She Should Work At McDonald’s To Provide For Their Kids
R. Kelly and his ex-wife are reportedly spewing fast food insults.
As you all know, R. Kelly is facing some serious time in prison for the crimes he allegedly committed. There have been a number of sex tapes that were uncovered showing the singer allegedly engaging in sexual acts with underage girls, urinating on them and more. On top of that, he’s been attending court dates regarding his child support payments, of which he owes thousands of dollars. Yesterday, his ex-wife Drea Kelly suggested that in order to support his kids, he should get a job at a fast food restaurant making tacos. That comment didn’t fare well with the disgraced artist because according to TMZ, he’s reportedly clapping back by saying she should get her own fast food job.

Speaking directly with TMZ Live, Drea Kelly and her daughter Buku Abi said that R. Kelly should get his finances figured out before throwing a jab at him. “I don’t care if you’re gonna become the first King of R&B to work at Del Taco,” said Drea. Buku added that she doesn’t “need” his money but that it’s his responsibility to pay up until she turns 23. After the comments were aired, representatives for R. Kelly reportedly reached out to TMZ to suggest that Drea get her own job at a fast food joint flipping burgers. He apparently believes that she has been using the child support money to fund her own lifestyle, saying that if she wants to continue living large, she should get her own job.
Kelly’s lawyer Steve Greenberg has reportedly gone on the record to say that Drea Kelly should “get a life.” Watch Drea and Buku’s comments below.
Kawhi Leonard Cost McDonald’s Millions Of Dollars In Free Fries
McDonald's wasn't expecting such a surge in orders.
Before the Toronto Raptors traded DeMar DeRozan for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, McDonald's and the Raptors teamed up for a promotion in the province of Ontario. The promotion was simple. If the Raptors score 12 three-pointers or more, Ontario McDonald's customers could order a free medium-sized fry. Despite Leonard and Green joining the team, McDonald's decided that they would continue with the promotion and unfortunately for them, it has cost them dearly.
According to a report from the Financial Post, the Raptors achieved 12 threes in a game 44 times over the course of the 82-game season and have been able to achieve the goal 10 times throughout the playoffs. The Raptors three-point shooting has resulted in over two million orders of free fries which is triple their projections of 700,000 orders.
With each fry order costing an average price of $2.89, McDonald's has lost a total of $5.89 million. After game one of the NBA Finals, McDonald's received a grand total of 80,000 orders which was a record amount during the promotion.
Leonard's presence on the Raptors now has an added benefit for fans. Before they seemed happy because the team was winning games but now we know that all they care about is the free french fries. Honestly, we really can't blame them.
Lil Yachty Turns Down Gourmet Meal For McDonald’s Via Uber Eats
Lil Yachty says McDonald’s > bougie foods.
Lil Yachty may have expensive taste, but that does not stop him from indulging in the foods from his humble beginnings. According to XXL, the rapper attended a dinner for Quality Control CEO’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas. The dinner was scheduled to celebrate Thomas’s birthday and consisted of a gourmet menu. The items included items such as chicken satay with peanut sauce, lobster wontons, miso-glazed sea bass, and wagyu–all of which did not seem to appeal to Boat’s palate. The rapper shared a photo his Instagram of the food, quoting: “Welp…I don’t do anything on this menu.”
As such, the artist chose to call onto the convenience of Uber Eats to get something more fitting. Precisely, Yachty requested Uber Eats to deliver some good ol’ McDonalds. The next photo which featured on the musician’s Instagram was that of a wrapped Hot N’ Spicy McChicken sandwich which suited Yachty much more than the original bougie dinner he was given. He made sure to thank Uber Eats for the service. And to note, Lil Yachty was not the only one skipping over the gourmet menu. The rapper later posted a video where he proclaimed that the Migos were attempting to share the McDonald’s sandwich. “They all eating it,” he laughed off.
McDonald’s Sweden Opens McHive, Smallest Bees-Only Restaurant
McDonald’s Sweden is on one.
McDonald’s changed the fast food game, for better or for worse. Super Size Me exposed the effects of eating McDonald’s consistently and several other studies that have been conducted reveal that it’s just bad for your health but at the end of the day, we still eat it. While the Fortune 500 company continues to exploit our health for their pockets, McDonald’s Sweden rolled out a new initiative to help keep bees from going extinct.
McDonald’s Sweden just launched the smallest-restaurant for bees called McHive. McDonald’s new sustainability initiative is to help preserve the population of bees in the country which has been quickly declining. The company previously had beehives placed on top of some of the locations across the country. The McHive innovates their previous beekeeping box hives to match the look of the current McDonald’s restaurants, except smaller, obviously.
“We have a lot of really devoted franchisees who contribute to our sustainability work, and it feels good that we can use our size to amplify such a great idea as beehives on the rooftops – this miniature McDonald’s is a tribute to franchisee Christina Richter’s initiative,” said Christoffer Rönnblad, marketing director of McDonald’s Sweden.
With their newly launched campaign, McDonald’s Sweden hopes that this initiative not only spreads throughout Sweden but all across the world as well.

McDonald’s Faces 25 Sexual Harassment Complaints Led By #MeToo Movement
The #MeToo movement expand past Hollywood.
The origin of the #MeToo movement goes as far back as the days of MySpace in 2006. Since then, it’s taken on a form of its own as it railed against the copious amount of sexual harassment and sexual assault that goes on in the workplace. The #MeToo movement has brought down Harvey Weinstein and countless other men who’ve used their positions of power to sexually assault women. Of course, this issue isn’t solely found in Hollywood but in every industry across the world including the world of fast food.

Twenty-five lawsuits have been filed against McDonald’s accusing the fast-food corporation of condoning sexual harassment in the workplace and retaliating against the employees who’ve tried to speak out against it. The charges and lawsuits that were filed against the company were announced by the American Civil Liberties Union, the labor group Fight for $15, and the Times Up Legal Defense Fund.
Executives at the company, which hires around 850,000 people across 14,000 stores in America, received a letter by Time’s Up which accused them of failing to properly handle sexual harassment complaints. McDonald’s CEO Steve Easterbrook said in a letter that the company has taken steps over the years to ensure the safety of its employees.
“McDonald’s is sending a clear message that we are committed to creating and sustaining a culture of trust where employees feel safe, valued and respected,” Easterbrook wrote in a letter to Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth and Padma Lakshmi who both support the worker’s cause.
The 25 lawsuits filed against the company include three new suits, two from employees who previously filed charges, as well as more charges filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
McDonald’s Is Treating Americans To "International Menu Options" This Summer
"The McGrubbers" are being rewarded for their loyalty with a bevy of international exclusives.
Come June the 5th. 2019, McDonald's lovers in the United States will be treated to host of menu options that are normally to countries such as Netherlands, Spain, Canada, and Australia. The expanded menu options, as selected in no order whatsoever, range from the carb-loaded Cheesy Bacon Fries to sweeter delicacies such as the Stroopwafel McFlurry, which I'm told is a syrupy wafer cookie popularized in the Dutch city of Gouda, which is incidentally also the place of origin for the world famous cheese bearing its name.
Elsewhere on the menu, American consumers will be Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich, which if I'm not mistaken, is the closest McDonald's clients will get to a chicken parm without paying restaurant prices. Let it be known, McDonald's is not exactly "the restaurant" it sets out to be on a minor scale, and maybe that's for the best.
Last but not least, the Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger gets added to the menu for the McAthletes who like to punch over their weight. Topped with Applewood smoked bacon and deposits of cheddary goodness, you'd be hard pressed to find more glutton anywhere else on the expanded menu. Like anything that enters the market with a certain degree of speculation, the 4 menu adds will likely vanish from the US market once the Summer comes to an end unless they go DUMB at the box office for a sustained period of time.
McDonald’s Chicken Nugget Peeler Dragged By Social Media
Do you peel your chicken nuggets?
Social media turned Facebook upside down recently. Facebook user Sameer Jafri decided to share a photo of his Mcdonald's meal his social media, further questioning his friend list if they partook in the same skin removing procedures with their chicken nuggets. Indeed, the shared image does reveal Jafri has removed the skin from every single one of his nuggets and neatly placed it on the other side of the box. The photo has now gone viral and managed to send all of the social media in a complete frenzy.
A slew of comments ensued the post, calling out Jafri for his picky eating habits. Reactions range from "OMFG WHAT IS THIS" and "this makes me feel ill! Who would do such a thing to their nuggets!" to several puking emojis. Clearly, many were shocked to know people were out here removing the skin from their nuggets. Precisely, many lovers of the crunchy goodies were not pleased with Jafari's actions. While the majority of social media dragged the poor user, others vouched for stranger behavior. "I'm not the only one," one said "I used to do this when I was younger!!!!" cheered another.
Burger King Roasts McDonald’s With "No One Is Happy" Marketing Campaign
Burger King continues this tradition of grudge matches in Fast Food by attacking the sacred institution of the "Happy Meal."
In this day in age, even the fast food titans of America have taken to "battle rapping" their way to prominence. The movement really started when Wendy's and Wingstop engaged in an epic Twitter royale, culminating in both sides declaring themselves the winner. Wingstop's vengeful spirit would soon peter away, due to a lack of bite in the chicken sector - a far cry from the battle-ready stance Wendy's in their own respective field from there on in.
Fast forward to 2019, and every fast food chain worth their weight in carbs seems to be locked in for battle. Burger King, spearheaded by its defacto monarch, is the latest chain to break out of a cold war stance, by issuing the "Real Meals" campaign, a marketing strategy aimed at discrediting the integrity of it's greatest competitor, the mighty McDonald's, found by brothers Maurice and Richard.
"With the pervasive nature of social media, there is so much pressure to appear happy and perfect," reads the statement provided by Burger King at the onset of the campaign. "With Real Meals, the Burger King brand celebrates being yourself and feeling however you want to feel."
For the time being, the "Real Meal" strategy will only be tested in select outlets (in a handful of US cities): New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, and Miami were all earmarked for the initial run. Each menu option is inspired by a different human emotion: Pissed Meal, the Blue Meal, the Salty Meal, the YAAAS Meal, and the DGAF Meal, none of which border on "Happy" or cheerful for that matter.
The final step of BK's launch was to upload the #FeelYouWay promo video to their YouTube channel. We'll have to wait and see if the oppositional strategy reaches its intended targets. Where do you stand on the BK-McDonald's rivalry, comment below?
