Tua Tagovailoa was highly-touted coming out of the University of Alabama and in this year's NFL Entry Draft, he was taken fifth overall by the Miami Dolphins. Now, the team has signed him to a contract worth more than $30 million and the vast majority of that money is guaranteed. Even if Tua is a bust, he will be set for life and now, he is looking to repay his family for all of the sacrifices they made on his journey to the NFL.
Yesterday was Mother's Day and Tua made it a special one for his mom as he surprised her with a brand new Cadillac Escalade. This is a massive vehicle fit for a queen and Tua's mother was definitely in a state of shock. In fact, she was pretty speechless about it all, which was really cool to see.
Miami Dolphins fans are over the moon about having Tua on their team as they haven't had a real star quarterback in quite some time. If he can lead this team to the playoffs, he will already win the hearts of many in the city.
Hopefully, he is as generous with his wide receivers as he is his own mother.

Tua Tagovailoa’s Dolphins Contract Revealed
Tua Tagovailoa is about to make a lot of money now that is a quarterback for the Miami Dolphins.
Tua Tagovailoa was one of the best NFL draft prospects coming into this season, with many believing he would be the first overall pick in the draft. As the quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide, Tagovailoa was a standout although a hip injury meant an early end to his 2019 campaign. Since the injury, there have been questions about whether or not he can still play football at a high level. During the combine and his pre-draft physicals, Tua was able to put all skepticism to bed and last night, he was taken fifth overall by the Miami Dolphins.
Since he is a high draft pick, he is eligible for a massive rookie contract and that's exactly what he is getting. According to reporter Tym Reynolds, Tua's contract will be worth $30.3 million over the next four seasons which works out to just over $7.5 million per year.
Joe Burrow went first overall in the draft to the Cincinnati Bengals and signed for $5.8 million more than Tagovailoa did. With these figures in mind, it will be interesting to see which player is better in the long run and who will have more immediate success in the NFL.
Regardless, both of these men just became set for life. If you're a Bengals or Dolphins fan, you have to be happy with how things played out.

Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa Announces NFL Draft Decision
Tua announces he'll enter the 2020 NFL Draft.
Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has decided to forego his senior season and will enter the 2020 NFL Draft. Tagovailoa, who suffered a hip injury late in the 2019 season, is still expected to be a top selection in April's draft with many mock drafts projecting him to be drafted fifth overall by the Miami Dolphins. And if the Dolphins pass on Tua, the Los Angeles Chargers, slotted sixth, are seen as another likely landing spot.
Tagovailoa made his decision known during a press conference on Monday.
"It was a hard decision all around: taking into consideration the pros and cons from both sides of the situation and the decision. I got to seek guidance from my family; we prayed a lot about it. This is a decision I'm going to have to live with. I made it, and I'm good with it," Tagovailoa said.
"I'm just focusing on my rehab, as far as now, with all the teams. Deciding if i'm going to do anything physically [in the pre-draft process], we'll decide that with our athletic training staff and see what the doctors have to say about that."
The 21-year old QB made a name for himself during the 2018 national title game, as he took over for starting QB Jalen Hurts and led the Crimson Tide to a come from behind victory over the Georgia Bulldogs.
He threw for 2,840 yards, 33 touchdowns and just three interceptions in nine games for Bama this season before suffering a dislocated hip and a posterior wall fracture during a November 16th game against Mississippi State. In his three seasons at Alabama, Tua compiled 7,442 passing yards with 87 passing TDs and nine rushing scores.
Tom Brady Reacts To Embarrassing Loss Against The Dolphins
The Patriots lost their first-round bye.
Earlier in the season, the New England Patriots were the clear-cut favorite to win the Super Bowl. They were 8-0 and had the best defense in the entire league. Throughout the second half of the season, the team began to derail as Tom Brady’s offense couldn’t get anything done. On Sunday, the team has a chance to wrap up the season with a win and secure a first-round bye in the AFC playoffs. Their opponent was the Miami Dolphins so it was supposed to be easy. Instead, the team lost 27-24 thanks to a last-minute drive by the Dolphins.
With the loss, the Patriots were jumped by the Kansas City Chiefs and will now have to play the Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card Round. After the game, Brady spoke about the game and how the Patriots failed to get the job done.

“Yeah, it was just we didn’t play the way we’re capable of playing and it ended up costing us. Just too many bad mistakes,” Brady said per Pro Football Talk.
The Patriots are now heading into the playoffs with a record of 4-4 in their last eight games. Three of those losses are against teams in the AFC playoff picture which makes their road to the Super Bowl that much harder. Not to mention, the Titans are on a bit of a hot streak with Ryan Tannehill at QB. If the Patriots aren’t careful, they could be an early exit which is surprising considering where they were just two months ago.
Tom Brady To The Dolphins Theory Circulates Online, Fans React
This would be unexpected.
Tom Brady is 42 years old which means at any given time, he can decide to retire and call his career a wrap. Brady claims he wants to play until well after the age of 45 although it remains to be seen whether or not his body will be able to hold up. There have been some rumors about Brady's days in New England and whether or not head coach Bill Belichick will want to keep him next season. If Brady doesn't stay with the team, there would certainly be quite a few franchises looking to lock down the services of one of the game's best players.
During an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, NBC Sports reporter Tom Curran made the bold claim that Brady could end up on the Miami Dolphins, who are a divisional rival.
“What would be ideal? Honestly, Rich — knowing who he is, since he’s been in the public consciousness for 20 years and more? He wants to be able to prove something to somebody who thought that he couldn’t do something," Curran explained. "That he was unable to continue at a level. And that’s why I keep coming back to the Miami Dolphins as a possibility."
Fans were pretty surprised by this take and immediately took to Eisen's Twitter comments with some interesting reactions and analysis. Check out some of the best responses to Curran's theory, below.
NFL Reveals 11 Teams Currently Scheduled To Attend Colin Kaepernick’s Workout
NFL announces 11 teams have already committed to the Kaepernick workout - and it's only Thursday!
Colin Kaepernick is scheduled to take part in a private NFL workout this Saturday, November 16 in Atlanta, which will include on-field drills conducted by former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson, as well an interview session. All 32 franchises have been invited to attend the event and the NFL revealed on Thursday that 11 teams have already confirmed their attendance.
The NFL's statement reads: "Eleven teams - Arizona, Atlanta, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Miami, New England, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tampa Bay and Washington - have already committed to attend, and it's only Thursday. With two days remaining until the workout, we expect additional teams to commit."
In addition to the live workout, the league will send video footage of the drills and interview to all 32 teams. Kaepernick has not yet spoken about the forthcoming workout but he did take to twitter to say that he's been ready and waiting for this moment for the last three years.
"I’m just getting word from my representatives that the NFL league office reached out to them about a workout in Atlanta on Saturday. I’ve been in shape and ready for this for 3 years, can’t wait to see the head coaches and GMs on Saturday."
The 32-year old quarterback opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March of 2017 and he has not played in the league since. Some, including Kaepernick's former teammates Eric Reid and Brandon Marshall, believe the private workout is nothing more than a public relations ploy by the NFL and it'll be interesting to see if any team actually offers him a contract.
Miami Dolphins Trade RB Kenyan Drake: Report
Dolphins deal Drake head of Tuesday's deadline.
The Miami Dolphins are parting ways with their leading rusher, Kenyan Drake, following a week filled with rumors ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have agreed to trade Drake to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for a 2020 6th-round pick that could become a 5th-round pick. The move gives the Cardinals (3-4-1) some much needed depth at the running back position, as David Johnson and Chase Edmonds are both sidelined with injuries heading into their Thursday night showdown against the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers.
Drake, 25, was selected by Miami in the third round of the 2016 draft but it recently became clear that the team had no intentions of signing him to an extension. He has 348 total yards this season, split evenly 174-174 between rushing and receiving.
Today's trade is just the latest move by the Dolphins in their attempt to stockpile draft picks as their winless season rolls along. Other players who have been dealt by Miami in the past few months include left tackle Laremy Tunsil, wide receiver Kenny Stills, defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick and linebacker Kiko Alonso. According to ESPN, Miami now has 13 picks in the 2020 draft, including three first-round picks.
With Drake now gone, the Dolphins will continue to lean on their 2018 fourth-round pick, Mark Walton, as they take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh tonight.
