Colin Kaepernick is scheduled to take part in a private NFL workout this Saturday, November 16 in Atlanta, which will include on-field drills conducted by former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson, as well an interview session. All 32 franchises have been invited to attend the event and the NFL revealed on Thursday that 11 teams have already confirmed their attendance.
The NFL's statement reads: "Eleven teams - Arizona, Atlanta, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Miami, New England, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tampa Bay and Washington - have already committed to attend, and it's only Thursday. With two days remaining until the workout, we expect additional teams to commit."
In addition to the live workout, the league will send video footage of the drills and interview to all 32 teams. Kaepernick has not yet spoken about the forthcoming workout but he did take to twitter to say that he's been ready and waiting for this moment for the last three years.
"I’m just getting word from my representatives that the NFL league office reached out to them about a workout in Atlanta on Saturday. I’ve been in shape and ready for this for 3 years, can’t wait to see the head coaches and GMs on Saturday."
The 32-year old quarterback opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers in March of 2017 and he has not played in the league since. Some, including Kaepernick's former teammates Eric Reid and Brandon Marshall, believe the private workout is nothing more than a public relations ploy by the NFL and it'll be interesting to see if any team actually offers him a contract.
Miami Dolphins Trade RB Kenyan Drake: Report
Dolphins deal Drake head of Tuesday's deadline.
The Miami Dolphins are parting ways with their leading rusher, Kenyan Drake, following a week filled with rumors ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Dolphins have agreed to trade Drake to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for a 2020 6th-round pick that could become a 5th-round pick. The move gives the Cardinals (3-4-1) some much needed depth at the running back position, as David Johnson and Chase Edmonds are both sidelined with injuries heading into their Thursday night showdown against the unbeaten San Francisco 49ers.
Drake, 25, was selected by Miami in the third round of the 2016 draft but it recently became clear that the team had no intentions of signing him to an extension. He has 348 total yards this season, split evenly 174-174 between rushing and receiving.
Today's trade is just the latest move by the Dolphins in their attempt to stockpile draft picks as their winless season rolls along. Other players who have been dealt by Miami in the past few months include left tackle Laremy Tunsil, wide receiver Kenny Stills, defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick and linebacker Kiko Alonso. According to ESPN, Miami now has 13 picks in the 2020 draft, including three first-round picks.
With Drake now gone, the Dolphins will continue to lean on their 2018 fourth-round pick, Mark Walton, as they take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh tonight.
Dolphins’ Bobby McCain Delivers Emotional NSFW Rant After Loss: Watch
Anybody would be fed up at 0-6.
Perhaps one of the saddest stories of the NFL season thus far is the Miami Dolphins who don't seem to be very interested in winning football games. The team has traded some of its best players and are fielding a team that would struggle to win against the best teams in college football. It's been a fairly embarrassing start to the season but on Sunday, there seemed to be some hope as they were taking on another winless team in the Washington Redskins.
The team was down for most of the game but with just a minute left, they were able to get a touchdown and make the score 17-16. They opted to go for the two point conversion instead of going to overtime and as you can suspect, they missed it. The Dolphins weren't even close to converting and they ended up going down to 0-6 on the season. After the game, defensive captain Bobby McCain spoke to the media and was passionate about the team's failures.
McCain seemed to be pretty upset by what had just happened and was visibly shaking and swearing during his answer. It's clear the players want to be successful but for now, the decisions being made are keeping the Dolphins from thriving.
If this team goes 0-16, there will certainly be a huge fallout in the offseason.
T-Pain Confesses That He Isn’t A Dolphins Fan & Only Worked With Them For Money
It’s not the best time to be a Dolphins fan.
The Miami Dolphins are 0-3, and it appears the team will try to keep tanking. The Dolphins tank season is being supported by many fans who believe the team needs to do horrible in order to secure some top draft picks. TMZ recently caught up with T-Pain, who is a born and bred Floridian. Back in 2009, T-Pain worked with the Dolphins to rerecord the official fight song. The TMZ reporter took that as a hint that T-Pain was a Dolphins fan, but it doesn’t look like that is the case.
According to T-Pain, he isn’t really a big sports guy in the first place. “I been associated with them, don’t have to be a fan to get money,” T-Pain stated of his affiliation with the Dolphins. When the reporter asks if T-Pain gave up on the team for being so bad, he jokes and says he stopped associating with them because they stopped offering money. He admits that he isn’t a “team” person, and has no allegiance to any franchise unless they are paying him. T-Pain also suggests that players aren’t even fans of their own teams, and that they are just there to make money. Check out the full video below.
Miami Dolphins Announce QB Change Ahead Of Dallas Cowboys Game
Rosen gets the nod as 22-point underdog Dolphins head to Dallas.
The Miami Dolphins are moving on to second-year quarterback Josh Rosen, who will replace veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick, following a pair of blowout home losses to start the season. The team announced the move on Thursday afternoon, just days before their matchup against the 2-0 Dallas Cowboys, in which Miami is a 22-point underdog.
Rosen, the former 10th overall selection, went 3-10 in 13 games for the Arizona Cardinals last season, completing 55% of his passes for 2,278 yards, 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. In his two appearances this season, after the fate of the game had already been decided, Rosan has completed eight of his 21 pass attempts for 102 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Josh Rosen will be the 21st different starting QB for the Dolphins since 2000, when Dan Marino retired. The only teams who have had more starting QBs during that span are the Cleveland Browns (29) and Chicago Bears (23).
The Dolphins acquired Rosen from Arizona in exchange for a second-round pick and a 2020 fifth round pick after the Cards drafted Kyler Murray No. 1 overall. The way things are looking, Miami will likely be in position to draft another QB, such as Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa, with the first pick in the 2020 draft, but first they'll get to see what they have in Rosen.
That said, Miami's uninspiring playing, including a 59-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and a 43-0 drubbing at the hands of the New England Patriots, doesn't bode well for his chances to succeed.
Antonio Brown Reportedly Travelling With Patriots To Miami, Plans To Play
Will Brown suit up on Sunday?
Antonio Brown’s last two weeks have been a roller coaster ride for football fans. First, he threw a fit and was ultimately let go of by the Oakland Raiders. Suspiciously, he signed with the New England Patriots only moments later. Soon after, Brown was accused of sexual assault by his former trainer. His trainer claims Brown sexual abused her then raped her over the course of three interactions. The NFL has avoided immediate punishment for Brown as the civil lawsuit surrounding the assault proceeds. That means it is very likely that the polarizing player will make his Patriot debut on Sunday versus the Miami Dolphins.
According to CBS Sports, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Michael Giardi reported that Brown is traveling with the Patriots to Miami for Sunday’s Week 2 game against the Dolphins, and he’s expected to play for the first time this season. It was originally believed that Brown would end up on the commissioner’s exempt list, which has been used for other players under investigation in recent years. It would stop him from playing without necessarily forcing him to give up large portions of his pay. When he was not put on the list, the decision fell to the Patriots whether or not to activate Brown for the game.
Multiple Dolphins Players Reportedly Requested Trades After Demoralizing Loss
It's going to be a long season in Miami.
If there was ever any doubt that the Miami Dolphins would be one of the worst teams in football this season, Sunday's result should serve as a true indication of where this franchise is headed in the next few months.
Following the team's 59-10 loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, several Dolphins players reportedly began scrambling to find a way off the team. Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio writes, "Per a league source with knowledge of the situation, multiple Dolphins players contacted their agents after Sunday’s season-opening blowout loss and directed them to attempt to engineer trades elsewhere."
Florio notes that those Dolphins players are convinced that the organization is truly embracing the "Tank for Tua" mantra, and that they aren't really interested in winning games this season. Rather, like we've seen in the NBA over the last few years, Miami is actually hoping to finish at the bottom of the standings so that they can secure the top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. So far, they're doing just that.
Although we're only one game into the season, the Dolphins are already the front-runner to land the #1 overall pick, which is expected to be Alabama's quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Prior to the start of the season, Miami traded away tackle Laremy Tunsil, as well as wide receiver Kenny Stills, for a number of future draft picks including the Houston Texans' first round selections in each of the next two drafts.
Before they can begin piecing together their rebuild, they'll need to survive the next 16 weeks, regardless of who's on the roster. And next up is a matchup against the defending champion New England Patriots, who open as 17-point favorites at some sports books.

LeBron James Delivers Shout Out To Lamar Jackson After Heroic Performance
Jackson threw five touchdown passes against the Dolphins.
Lamar Jackson received a ton of criticism last season in his first year as quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens. Some pundits felt as though his throwing ability wasn't good enough to be a starting quarterback and that he should be played as a running back or receiver instead. During the Ravens' first game of the season against the Miami Dolphins, Jackson proved the doubters wrong as he threw five touchdown passes. picked up 324 yards and completed 85 percent of his passes.
While the Dolphins are a pretty horrendous team, there is no denying that Jackson's performance was exceptional and if you're a Ravens fan, you have to be encouraged by what you saw. One person who was impressed by Jackson was none other than LeBron James who took to his Instagram story to offer some praise. LeBron said, "not bad for a running back" which is what Jackson jokingly said in his postgame press conference. James ended the shoutout by saying "keep going young king."
Unfortunately for James, his hometown Cleveland Browns lost to the Tennessee Titans by a score of 43-13. It was a shocking result considering people legitimately thought the Browns would be better this season. Either way, this bodes well for Jackson and the Ravens who also play in the AFC North.
Only time will tell whether Jackson can keep up this exceptional pace.
Dolphins Coach Plays Jay-Z Songs At Practice To ’Challenge’ WR Kenny Stills
"It was a challenge to Kenny to perform regardless of whatever is going on outside."
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills is among those who have criticized Jay-Z in the wake of his partnership with the NFL. Earlier this week, Stills questioned comments Jay-Z made during the partnership's introductory news conference, and said he wished the hip-hop mogul would have reached out to him, or Colin Kaepernick, beforehand.
Just one day after Stills stated his opinion, Dolphins head coach Brian Flores decided to play a series of Jay-Z songs throughout practice in an effort to "challenge" the veteran wideout. On Thursday, following the team's 22-7 victory over the Jaguars, Flores explained his reason for doing so.
"It was a challenge to Kenny to perform regardless of whatever is going on outside," Flores said of playing the Jay-Z songs, per ESPN. "I would say, and I said this to him, he hasn't performed up to that level over the course of training camp, or as I've seen. So that was the challenge -- to get open, catch the football and make plays for this team, regardless of what's going on outside of this building."
According to ESPN, Flores addressed the team after the media picked up the story, and told the players that he supports Stills and the protest.
"We talked about it in-house and he handled it in-house.
For the most part, I think it was him seeing if I could handle if people were going to heckle me or play Jay-Z in another stadium if I could be mentally strong enough to handle that sort of treatment. I've been dealing with this since 2016 -- music, boos, racial slurs. So I don't think a little Jay-Z music is going to ruffle my feathers that bad."
The Dolphins will kickoff the 2019 regular season with back-to-back home games, starting with the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, September 8, followed by a matchup with the division rival New England Patriots in Week 2.
Ex-NFL Star Mario Williams Arrested After Breaking Into Ex’s Garage: Report
The video of the incident is rather unnerving.
Former Miami Dolphins defensive end Mario Williams was taken into custody following a bizarre incident involving the mother of his child. TMZ reports that Williams’ ex was at her apartment in Houston when he came to her door. When she told him she wouldn’t let him in, he allegedly began making a scene and banged on her door even louder.
Her denials weren’t a deterrent, because Williams apparently had a garage opener and attempted to get inside her home through the back entrance. She recorded the episode with her smartphone and TMZ Sports obtained the video that shows Williams in the garage. The woman angrily asks Williams how he managed to get inside and he tells her that someone let him in. At one point, he seems to say that it was a sheriff who gave him access.

While he stands there, he calls the police and puts the dispatcher on speakerphone. Williams tells the woman on the line that his ex-girlfriend has been hacking into his information by using their son’s iPad, and while Williams and his ex argue, the dispatcher gets cut off. Officers respond to the scene and TMZ shares that he was cooperative. However, he was charged with trespassing and taken into custody. His bail was set at $100 which he paid before being released./.
Williams’s ex has also reportedly previously filed for a restraining order against the former NFL star, and he has been ordered to have a mental health assessment completed. For this incident, Williams will return to court on the 27th of this month.
