Don Diablo Drops Thrilling One-Off Remix for Martin Garrix
A week after Ocean Remixes Vol 2 and three weeks after Vol 1, Don Diablo has released his own remix of the pop collaboration between Martin Garrix and Khalid unencumbered by any other artists.
Don Diablo’s “Ocean” remix is pretty much exactly what you’d expect from the Dutch DJ: lots of the same future house synths and rhythm used in a lot of his other tracks. It’s a well-produced track by anyone’s barometer, but it lacks a lot of originality that Don was known for in years past. He’s seemingly found himself in a groove that he can’t escape – and for people who like that sound, it’s awesome. For those of us who perhaps want something new after the third or fourth track, it’s just a tad disappointing.
Don Diablo’s remix of “Ocean” is out now – check it out below.
Don Diablo Reveals New Remix for Martin Garrix Out Friday [FIRST LISTEN]
It’s only been four days since Martin Garrix & Khalid dropped Volume 2 of their “Ocean” remixes, with new cuts from Holy Goof, Myrne, and more. And yet, we’re already getting another special remix of the track from none other than Hexagon leader Don Diablo this Friday.
As with most Don Diablo tracks, it follows a similar pattern with some distorted vocals, piano, and future house synths that will no doubt get you dancing. The remix was played at during his set at Tomorrowland this year, which you can see below!
Martin Garrix Remixes His Own Collab with Khalid for Latest Release [MUST LISTEN]
Martin Garrix & Khalid’s “Ocean” was released in June to mixed reviews. For us here at Your EDM, we weren’t the biggest fans of it. Keeping in mind that artists are allowed to experiment with different styles, it still just didn’t hit the right notes in our opinion.
That being said, Garrix and Khalid have just released the first volume of remixes for “Ocean,” with seven unique interpretations from Bart B More, Cazztek, DubVision, Goja, Todd Helder, Silque, and Martin Garrix himself along with Cesqeaux.
Putting special attention on the Martin Garrix and Cesqeaux remix, a pairing we never thought we’d see, the two transform the original into an exciting and experimental tune that is sure to surprise as much as the artist pairing does.
Our favorites of the bunch, aside from Martin Garrix and Cesqeaux, have to be DubVision and Goja. DubVision brings the remix in a way that we believe Garrix should have in the first place, putting a highly enjoyable house spin. Goja, on the other hand, puts a much darker twist on the track than any of the other tracks.
Check out the full remix EP and let us know your favorite in the comments!
Martin Garrix & Khalid's Collab Is Finally Here, But Does It Live Up To The Hype?
Martin Garrix’s long-awaited collaboration with Khalid, “Ocean,” is finally out today. But does it live up to the hype?
Khalid somewhat broke into the dance music world with a feature on Marshmello’s song “Silence,” which has become a worldwide hit with over 800 million streams across all services. He returns on another superstar’s track, teaming up with Martin Garrix for “Ocean.”
To get right to the point, this is easily the most mellow of any Garrix song we’ve heard thus far. It plays more to Khalid’s style than it does to his own, which presents both pros and cons. While we’re happy that Khalid actually sounds as good as he does on this, it’s missing a lot of the Garrix style that we’ve grown accustomed to. The drop features more acoustic elements – guitar, strings, subtle percussion – than some of Martin’s more bombastic tracks.
As always, we should point out that we’re not against artists evolving and trying out new things. But in some cases, those experiments don’t always bear the sweetest fruit.
There will undoubtedly be fans who like this track, just as there will be those who don’t. Listen to “Ocean” below and find out which you are.

T.I. & Tiny Enjoy Yacht Life On Family Vacation
While it's been previously reported that T.I. and his wife Tiny have put the pause on their divorce proceedings for the moment, it seems that they've made up enough to take a family vacation together on-board a massive yacht.
T.I. posted a series videos on Instagram, showing f his family excursion, and honestly, it's hard not to be a little jealous. T.I., his family, and his friends are all standing on board an incredibly large yacht, riding jet skis, and diving into gorgeous blue ocean water.
T.I. captioned the post with, "Harris Family Vacation The Big Pimpin Edition ?? Domani set it f!!!"
In one the videos, Tip is filming some jumps and is told to follow suit, which he replies with a defiant, "For what?" It doesn't seem as though T.I. is adventurous enough to pay to ride a Yacht throughout the open ocean but not enough to actually jump in it. But he's clearly enjoying himself, as he's posted pictures him and his friends ("The Westside 4 Horsemen" as he calls them), and pokes fun at his son for "thinking] he in a GAP for kids add tho." and for "Lookin like Tubbs f Miami Vice."
Tiny also appeared to be enjoying herself, posting a video on her own Instagram and captioning it,"No better crew I’d rather be with than mine!! @the_next_king10 & @princess__da_south @domaniharris1 & @zonniquejailee did it!! #SpringBreakWeekend #FamilyVacation ?????"
You can check out the all the photos and footage from the Harris' family vacation below.
