Oliver Heldens Confirms Swedish House Mafia Worldwide Reunion Tour
Until Swedish House Mafia officially reform and announce a world tour, we’ll never get sick of hearing about the extreme likelihood of it happening. Although, at this juncture, it’s pretty safe to say SHM are indeed getting back together.
Most recently, DJ/producer Oliver Heldens let some inside info about an official reunion tour slip out during his Heldeep radio show. As he introduced Axwell Λ Ingrosso‘s track “Together,” he couldn’t help but share the good news.
“So, Swedish House Mafia have now officially reformed, and are announcing a world tour in 2019,” he said matter-of-factly during the podcast (listen below). It doesn’t get more straightforward than that.
Even Steve Angello himself confirmed the tour last month — “It’s happening, obviously.”
And let’s not forget Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s teaser during their Brooklyn show, which gave us that initial glimmer of hope — “Should we cancel the Swedish House Mafia gig we’re planning next year? Because I don’t know if they’re ready for Swedish House Mafia in 2019 in New York.”
All signs point to a SHM world tour next year. Get ready.
Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa Get A Pure House Remix from Oliver Heldens On "One Kiss"
It definitely looks like Calvin Harris is going all-in on the house music. His smash hit with Dua Lipa, “One Kiss,” is certainly the housiest record he’s put out in a few years now, and he’s stayed true to that by recruiting some of the biggest names in house for remix duties.
Now, he’s added another in Oliver Heldens who delivers a bouncy deep house remix with a rumbling, smoky drop that’s just begging to set dance-floors alight across the world. Though it exists in a pack of two other house remixes, it certainly has a more ‘mainstream’ identity of its own that separates itself from the rest of the pack.

Oliver Heldens Joins Don Diablo In Dedicating New Song To Avicii
Plenty of DJs and producers have done tributes to Avicii since his passing a little over a month ago, but only one so far has been bold enough to try creating a song in his honor. Undergoing such a monumental task is not easy, neither in actual technical ability nor in moral authenticity. Now, Oliver Heldens is going to try, as well.
Tweeting yesterday, Heldens wrote, “I feel like writin a song about Avicii, but I don’t wanna disrespect anyone at the same time, so it’s prob gonna be some prog house, cause that’s Avicii to me: the best melodies.”
For the most part, fans are receptive to the idea and supporting him. They do have one caveat: release it for free, or donate the proceeds to mental health awareness charities. Can’t argue with that.
While we usually hear some variant of future house from Heldens, and in fact haven’t heard a new song from him since November last year (not counting HI-LO), a progressive house attempt honoring Avicii would be brilliant to receive.
Perhaps this is just an idea, a musing, at this point, but we’re now left waiting to hear what it could be.
I feel like writin a song about Avicii, but I don’t wanna disrespect anyone at the same time, so it’s prob gonna be some prog house, cause that’s Avicii to me: the best melodies. I just dislike when people milk shit out like toothpaste in a small tube , some point it’s finished:(

One of Monstercat's Best Unleashes Debut 2018 Single On Oliver Heldens' Label
I remember when Your EDM would cover Rootkit as a Monstercat artist as far back as 2014, and now look at him, putting out a new record on Heldeep with lots more in the chamber for 2018. If we were parents, we’d be so proud.
Rootkit just dropped his new song “No Games” on Heldeep’s DJ Tools EP – Part 7, and you’d best believe we have this banger on repeat. The melody and rhythm are entirely unique and unmistakable – when you hear that note come in at the club, you know it’s about to go down. And not to mention you’ll be singing “I ain’t got time for no games” randomly throughout your day.
Check out the whole EP and listen to “No Games” below.
Oliver Heldens Drops New HI-LO Collab with Dada Life
2018 started f on a strong note with Oliver Heldens between his alias HI-LO and Swedish fun guys Dada Life called “Love Vibrations.” Only a 30 second teaser was given, but it was already apparent that the two artists were going to keep the underground alive in their mix.
Now that the track is out in full, that is reinforced ten fold. You won’t hear any Heldens’ typical synth progressions (especially since this is a HI-LO track) nor will you hear Dada Life’s vibrant, bigger than life kicks and chords. Instead, what you get is a wickedly catchy bassline and hook that should have no trouble embedding themselves in your head for days.
Check out “Love Vibrations” below.
This New HI-LO Collab Is Absolutely Addictive

Heldens recently played out this track during a show, so if you want a spoiler go . Otherwise, listen to the teaser below and wait for tomorrow’s new episode to hear “Love Vibrations” and all its glory.
As for when the track ficially drops, as solid “out soon” is all we’re getting.
