This past weekend, Lil Uzi Vert surprised fans when he revealed in passing that he has another album coming soon. Fans are still eating up the Eternal Atake and LUV Vs. the World 2 double disc, but more Uzi music would certainly not go unwanted. The rapper has definitely been more active on the music front lately, following his double disc drop with a loose single, "Sasuke."
He's also been pretty active on twitter, replying to fans sporadically as well as possibly hacking fellow artists accounts (who knows). Among his twitter antics, he recently replied to a fan asking about the producers who will be on the new, as-of-yet-unnamed album. The fan asked Uzi to use some of his day one producers, naming Don Cannon and DJ Plugg specifically. What of Maaly Raw, too? While this fan didn't mention Uzi's early frequent collaborator, other fans proceeded to jump in the replies, throwing Maaly's name into the mix. Even TM88 jumped into Uzi's replies, asserting he had sent Uzi a "hard ass beat! Let’s gooo."

Uzi replied to the fan confirming DJ Plugg would indeed have production on the new album, making no mention of Don Cannon so we can safely assume Don Cannon's beat won't be on the new album-- is this due to beef or nah?
All the commotion surrounding DJ Plugg's inclusion resulted in Plugg having to speak out as well, confirming he only knows as much as we know-- "Preciate the love everybody!! I only know as much as u guys know!! But we do have a lot of new music so just keep your fingers crossed with me y’all!!," he tweeted.
DJ Plugg, for his part, is responsible for production on several Uzi favorites-- namely "Belly" and "For Real."
Who would you like to see produce on Uzi's new album?
If you missed, Lil Uzi went viral today in a video where he freestyled with a fan-- check that out here.
"Love & Hip Hop" Production Reportedly Shuts Down Indefinitely Due To COVID-19
Production on all four series in the “Love & Hip Hop” franchise has reportedly been halted indefinitely as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The fate of the Love & Hip Hop franchise remains uncertain, as the show reportedly joins the ranks of almost every other film and television production. According to a report by reality TV update account, OMFGRealityTV, all four of the VH1 series have been put on pause due to the coronavirus pandemic. The report states that no new episodes of the Hollywood, New York, Atlanta, or Miami series in the Love & Hip Hop franchises will be airing from this point forward. As shared by The Shade Room, the unofficial statement reads: “Due to the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic, all production on the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ franchise series has been forcibly shut down.”
“This means that ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’ season 7, the remaining episodes of ‘Love & Hip Hop: New York’ season 10 and ‘Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta’ season 9 will all be postponed until further notice,” the message continues. “This also applies to ‘Love & Hip Hop: Miami’ season 4. It’s still uncertain when and how production will resume.”

Prior to the pandemic, the tenth season of Love & Hip Hop: New York premiered on December 16th, 2019, the most recent episode of the season airing on March 9th, 2020. Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s ninth season premiered just last month on March 16th, but it looks like fans will only be getting a taste of it now that production has reportedly been shut down. Although Love & Hip Hop: Miami already wrapped up its fourth season this year, it is unknown when new episodes can be expected to air. As for Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, its seventh season was intended to air sometime this year, but of course, that remains uncertain as well. Joseline Hernandez, star of Love & Hip Hop: Miami commented on The Shade Room‘s post, saying “N they bout to pay BIG MAMA A HUGE BAG no more Mona.” The official Love & Hip Hop franchise have yet to address this report.
Royce Da 5’9" Is Cooking Up Some Heat
Royce Da 5’9″ has been steadily putting in work at the studio, showing off another potent two-pack of new instrumentals.
For those who don’t know, Royce Da 5’9″ has been steadily establishing himself as a producer in the game. Having been guided by the likes of DJ Premier and Denaun Porter, Royce has already proven to be a strong beatmaker in his own right, cleverly flipping samples and lacing the entirety of his latest album The Allegory. Since its release, Royce has been steadily building up his repertoire of instrumentals, including a two-pack reserved for himself and his “caucasian counterpart.”

Now, he’s back with another two-pack, this one inspired by a phone-call with the one and only Jazze Pha. “After our phone convo, I made these 2 @jazzepha,” captions Nickle, alongside a pair of snippets. “Send these or are they too hard? The shit you sent me is ridiculous.” The first is a laid-back and soulful instrumental, reminiscent of early DJ Premier in tonality and vibe. The second strikes a similar chord, with whimsical chime samples calling back to a nostalgic age of innocence.
It’s easy to imagine Royce himself putting in serious work on both of them, and fellow lyricists like Grafh and Sy Ari Da Kid came through to sing his praises. While it’s unclear as to who he’ll be sending these to, artists like Westside Gunn, Conway, and Benny The Butcher would sound right at home over something as smoothly flipped as these two. Big shout out to Nickle Nine for adding another talent to his repertoire — what do you think of his production so far?
Tyler Perry Planning To Reopen Atlanta Studio For Production
Tyler Perry has come up with a seemingly safe way to reopen his studio lot in Atlanta in order to continue shooting his six TV shows.
Tyler Perry is very eager to pick up production on his six television shows, which is why he’s developed a plan to reopen his studio lot in Atlanta so that he can start shooting again while also keeping his cast and crew members safe. Ever since the coronavirus pandemic began to escalate in the U.S., tons of film and television productions have been indefinitely shut down in order to prevent spreading to virus and putting people at risk. Although the pandemic still persists, Gov. Brian Kemp made the decision to reopen certain businesses in Georgia this past week. Many believe it’s way too soon to be encouraging Americans to venture out into the public, but it looks like Tyler Perry is going to take extra precautions to ensure that he can get back to business in Atlanta.

According to TMZ, Tyler pitched an idea to his studio executives that would have all cast and crew of a given production show up to the set on the first day of shooting. Everyone would then be tested for coronavirus right then and there, and anyone who tests negative can proceed to the lot to begin filming. All of the cast and crew would live on the studio lot for the duration of production, in one of the many facilities on the 330-acre former-military-base-turned-studio-compound. These facilities include 141 habitable barracks, 40 historic houses, and 30 additional houses Tyler had built when he bought the property. There’s also a gym, bar, and multiple restaurants, and Tyler’s even considering turning the hospital structure he built for one of his sets into a functioning facility and hiring a doctor and nurse to work in there.
The studio lot would only be open for his own six television productions, each season of which takes approximately 2 1/2 weeks to film. His workers would also be getting a pay raise to compensate for the circumstances. While there are definitely tons of potential roadblocks, such as day-to-day workers and extras, as well as the possibility of an emergency requiring cast and crew to leave the studio, Tyler is reportedly working out all the kinks before he goes forward with his plan.
Corona Beer Production Halts Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
The production of Corona beer has been temporarily shut down in Mexico, after the government deemed it a non-essential business amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Corona beer is no longer being made in Mexico for the time being, after the Mexican government suspended all non-essential businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. Despite alcohol sales booming as a result of the coronavirus-induced quarantine, it looks like some companies have been told to cease production of their booze due to their status as a non-essential business during this global crisis. Grupo Modelo, the Anheuser-Busch Inbev-owned company that makes Corona as well as Modelo and Pacifico beers, is one such business that has been told to halt production by the Mexican government in an effort to combat the spread of coronavirus in the country.

This measure includes the suspension of all non-essential activities in the public and private sectors of Mexico until at least April 30th. According to John Hopkins, the country has had more than 1600 confirmed cases of coronavirus and has experienced 60 related deaths.

Grupo Modelo is, however, prepared to enact a plan to “guarantee the supply of beer” if the Mexican government does decide that breweries qualify as essential businesses, according to a statement. Bill Newlands, CEO of Constellation Brands which handles the distribution and import of Grupo Modelo’s beers in the United States, ensured that the brand has “ample supply to meet consumer demand” and doesn’t expect there to be shortages. Despite reports that Corona’s shared name with the worldwide virus had caused sales to suffer, Constellation reports that their beer sales actually grew 8.9% in the first three months of this year. Sales even accelerated by 24% during the first three weeks of March compared to a year ago.
Kylie Jenner To Start Producing Custom Hand Sanitizer
Kylie Jenner has partnered with Coty Inc, a major stakeholder in her skincare and cosmetic lines, to manufacture custom hand sanitizer for southern California hospitals.
Kylie Jenner has set out to combat some of the shortages of supplies amid the coronavirus pandemic, by teaming up with beauty company, Coty Inc., to donate custom-made hand sanitizer to hospitals in southern California. On Tuesday, the beauty and skincare mogul and her momager, Kris Jenner, announced the partnership with Coty, who is a major stakeholder in both Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin. The hand sanitizer will be produced in Coty’s factories, and will be “dedicated to first responders working to support our communities.” The product will be provided to “medical and emergency services staff,” as well as both the employees making the sanitizer and those responsible for delivering it to people in need.

Since Coty will be producing the hydro-alcoholic gel in its own facilities, Kylie Skin will reportedly not be affected by this venture. However, distribution has already been haulted on Kylie Cosmetics products, along with Kim Kardashian‘s KKW Beauty line, after California issued a statewide shelter-in-place order last month.

Along with helping to relieve the shortage of hand sanitizer as a result of the pandemic, Kylie has also donated $1 million toward providing protective masks for a Los Angeles hospital. Prior to this donation, Kylie urged her followers to practice social distancing and stay home, after she was called upon by the surgeon general of the United States to use her platform to make a statement.
Drake & Future’s "Life Is Good" Producer Unsure If Duo Knows Who He Is
Germany-based producer Ambezza explains how he inadvertently got involved in Drake and Future’s latest collaboration.
Drake and Future kicked the year off with their new megahit, “Life Is Good.” Unlike their other collaboration, “Life Is Good” has the rappers occupying two different beats on the two-part song. However, one of the producers who worked on the first half of the song said that he doesn’t feel Drake nor Future know who he is.
In a recent interview with HipHopDX, Germany’s Ambezza explained that he co-produced Drake’s part of the song with OZ, who’s close to the OVO head honcho’s camp. Even with the song’s success, he said he hasn’t formed a relationship with either Future or Drake but that doesn’t seem to bother him too much.
“I mean, we’re talking about the top guys, so it’s really, really, really difficult to get in with them,” he said. “Of course, I’m hoping to in the future. You never know what the future holds, but until then it’s just important to build your credit and your brand.”
He added, “I just love to collaborate, I’m big on that. So I sent [OZ] the melody, I think back in November last year, and he hit me back like, ‘Yo put this one aside,’ so I don’t send it out anymore… It wasn’t a direct connection to Future or Drake, it was just through the co-producer in that case.”
Travis Scott Flexes Production Skills & Teases New Music
Travis Scott is sharpening his production skills during the coronavirus-imposed lockdown.
With so much uncertainty in our world right now, we look to one of the things that have always remained constant for us: music. People are spending their quarantine hours differently. Some of us are unpacking that new The Weeknd album carefully. Others are running head-on into large towers of Jenga blocks (shout out to Cardi B). And others are using their free time wisely, being productive and perfecting their trade.
Travis Scott can be counted among that final group. The rapper is well-known for his work with producer Mike Dean, but he’s also got skills behind the board too. The H-Town artist took to Instagram to show us all how he’s been dealing with all this extra time and it turns out he’s being pretty advantageous, boosting his production skills and showing off what he can do.

Chopping up a vocal sample over some boom-bap style drums, Travis Scott looks to be trying out new vibes to record in his home studio.
Before he blew up as an artist, it wasn’t uncommon to see Travis’ name in the producer credits for other rappers. Nowadays, he’s focusing more on his own material, but he’s taking this opportunity to revisit his roots.
Are you hoping Travis produces more on his next album?
50 Cent Pissed Coronavirus Is Delaying "Power" Spinoffs Production
50 Cent was not happy that production on two of his “Power” spinoff shows had to be postponed due to the threat of coronavirus.
50 Cent was far from pleased to announce that production on two of his Power spinoff series, Power Book II: Ghost and Power Book III: Raising Kanan, has been halted due to the rapidly spreading coronavirus pandemic. The network, Starz, made the decision after it was understood that New York State, where both shows were being filmed, officially hosts the largest number of cases of coronavirus in the United States. The hiatus became effective on March 13th, with no recommencement date in sight at this time. As one of the franchise’s creators and executive producers, Fif was majorly frustrated by the ultimately inevitable move, noting that they were one of the only shoots that was still ongoing. Sharing a screenshot of the Deadline article that broke the news, he begrudgingly made the unfortunate announcement to his Instagram followers.
“I had to do it we were the last production still working,” he wrote. “F*ck.” While it’s not certain that they were actually the very last ones, the Power teams are certainly following in the footsteps of countless other films and television shows that have temporarily pulled the plug. Almost every major production has shut down in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and plenty of films have been pushing their release dates back by several months. While there is no word yet on the status of the other two Power spinoffs, Power Book IV: Influence and Power Book V: Force, both shows have reportedly not even begun production yet.
"The Batman" Shoot Halted For Two Weeks Due To Coronavirus
“The Batman” production has been put on a temporary two-week hiatus by Warner Bros. as a result of the growing threat of coronavirus.
The shooting for The Batman will be put on pause and (hopefully) recommence in two weeks, due to the pervasive spread of coronavirus. The film industry has been in shambles ever since COVID-19, aka the novel coronavirus, reared its ugly head and posed a severe threat to the safety of the whole population, forcing production companies to delay film shoots and releases in an effort to prevent the spread of the deadly disease. The newest victim of these unfortunate circumstances was the latest instalment of the Batman franchise, simply titled The Batman. Shooting for the DCEU film has been put on a two-week hiatus, while Warner Bros “continue[s] to monitor the situation closely.” The Batman is being filmed in England, which has recently seen a dramatic rise in confirmed cases of coronavirus, leading the Trump administration to extend the United States’ European travel ban to include the U.K. and Ireland.

In this iteration of the famous comic figure’s story, Robert Pattinson will step into the role of the beloved superhero, with Zoë Kravitz starring as Catwoman. The film joins other shoots suspended under the advisement of government and health officials in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, including Baz Luhrmann’s untitled Elvis Presley project. One of the stars of the Elvis movie, Tom Hanks, tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week, along with his wife, Rita Wilson, while they were in Australia shooting the film.
