BREAKING: Axwell Λ Ingrosso Project Suspended As Swedish House Mafia Makes Full Return
We’ve already heard plenty from Steve Angello and even Axwell on the reformation and future of Swedish House Mafia, but now Sebastian Ingrosso is speaking out, as well. Talking to Swedish publication Metro, Ingrosso discussed the reason for SHM’s return, and also confirms that they’re headed into the studio.
When asked why, now, after five years, Ingrosso’s answer was relatively simple: “We felt it was time, and we missed it. And above all, we had fans who wanted us to reunite.”
He also confirmed that the three members of Swedish House Mafia will be back in the studio after summer to “try to do something fun together.”
However, one of the biggest bombshells of the interview is that their Axwell Λ Ingrosso project will be put on the back burner while they work on Swedish House Mafia. ” [We] will actually put it on the shelf. As I usually say, there are three dots, it’s not two plus a dot. But we will definitely still do our individual stuff.”
Axwell Λ Ingrosso still have a number of shows planned through the end of 2018, but don’t expect to see them on any lineups next year.

Steve Angello Hypes Up SHM Reunion with Special Guest At Tomorrowland [VIDEO]
Swedish House Mafia famously—or infamously depending upon your view—reunited at Ultra Music Festival this year. Since then, rumors about more SHM shows have been circulating. Some even believed the group would play Tomorrowland. While the idea never panned out, two of the three SHM members did surprisingly get together: Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso.
Steve Angello played the penultimate set at the Tomorrowland Mainstage on the closing day. Some speculated he would bring Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell out for another surprise SHM reunion, but he only brought out Ingrosso. While that may disappoint some, the surprise b2b between the two was still enjoyable. Angello finished his set by declaring, “Swedish House Mafia loves you.”
Tomorrowland still has another weekend coming up next week, but we wouldn’t expect anything too huge for SHM. Steve Angello will play the third to last set on the Mainstage next Sunday…perhaps he’ll bring Axwell instead? Keep your eyes peeled.
Check out the Angello b2b Ingrosso mini-set from Tomorrowland below:
"Reload" by Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash Just Turned 5 Years Old
One of the most incredible EDM songs of the past decade has to be “Reload” by Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash, with vocalist John Martin. The track just turned five years old this month and we still can’t get enough.
As soon as this track starts up, the nostalgia kicks in. That saying, “they just don’t make ’em like they used to,” comes to mind. We’ve heard a lot of great music in our time, but “Reload” is one of those standalone tracks that will always speak for EDM music.
The original mix, written and produced by Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash, was unleashed in September 2012. But it wasn’t until the vocals were put on the track in May 2013 that the single really took off the way it did.
“Reload” hit #1 on the UK Dance chart and #3 on the UK singles chart. It also charted with Billboard’s Dance Club Songs, #15 on the Hot Dance/Electric Songs chart, and #7 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay.
These years were golden for dance music records like this one! Get some newfound appreciation for “Reload” right here.

Did Sebastian Ingrosso Just Confirm Another Swedish House Mafia Show?
It seems impossible to escape the Swedish House Mafia rumor mill after their reunion at Ultra Music Festival earlier this year. Declarations of “Swedish House Mafia for life” fueled the first batch of rumors, suggesting more shows in the future; newer moves from Swedish House Mafia like deleting all their posts on Instagram have also raised some eyebrows.
Today, however, could be the most curious piece of all. Sebastian Ingrosso posted a photo on his Instagram story of what looks to be a lineup at a venue called Krusmynta Garden in Vispy, Sweden. The event is apparently in cooperation with 2 Fresh Entertainment, and features performances from Vargas & Lagola, Oskar Linnros, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Seinabo Sey, and Swedish House Mafia.
Now, the strange thing here is that there’s no significant Google search results for Krusmynta Garden except for some Trip Advisor blog entries. And as for 2 Fresh Entertaiment, nothing remotely having to do with dance music comes up – seriously, the top entry on Google is for, uh, this.
So what we have is a photo for a venue with no footprint, a promoter that doesn’t exist, and a lineup that isn’t found anywhere else… what’s going on here? We have no idea.
The only thing to do at this point is wait and see, but we wish they’d just come out and say something.
EDM's Biggest DJs React To Swedish House Mafia's Reunion
Five years ago, Swedish House Mafia made their grand exit from the dance music world. The members went on to do their own thing, and the industry thrived in their absence. Yesterday, those three legends – Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso – reunited for the first time to once again grace the same stage upon which they said their goodbyes.
While we had our eyes and tens thousands more were there in person witnessing history, thousands more were keeping their Twitter fingers busy sharing their thoughts.

BREAKING: Sebastian Ingrosso Confirms Swedish House Mafia Reunion
“Expect the unexpected.” That’s what Ultra Music Festival has been telling us for months now its 20th anniversary event in Miami. But in the back our minds we’ve been expecting Swedish House Mafia. Now, we’re hearing it straight from the horse’s mouth — our expectations haven’t been in vain.
Yesterday, DJ Mag Germany the trio will indeed reunite to close out the festival Sunday night from the iconic Main Stage. Palm Angels, a fashion brand heavily associated with SHM further solidified this notion in printing new Swedish House Mafia with the date 03-25-18.
An upload on Sebastian Ingrosso‘s latest Instagram story is the most solid piece evidence we’ve seen with our own eyes. He shared a photo one those Palm Angels designs confirming Swedish House Mafia Will reunite tonight, most likely swagged out with these sick jackets. Just look!
We highly doubt SHM will have any new material ready considering these guys haven’t been making music together for years. (@TheFPIA has on that.) That being said, fans can expect loads SHM classics, some IDs from Axwell Λ Ingrosso, and new music from Steve Angello‘s forthcoming album .
Check back with Your EDM throughout the day for the Ultra stream, live updates, and that Swedish House Mafia performance you don’t want to miss!

Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso's Classic "Calling" Just Turned 6 Years Old
“Calling” by Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso has one the most recognizable melodies EDM has ever known and arguably remains one the best songs all time.
Speaking time — it’s flown by — six years to be exact. When “Calling” featuring OneRepublic‘s Ryan Tedder first hit our ears in 2012, electronic music was on the up and 6 years later we crave the same kind magic at work in this progressive house anthem.
Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso achieved much success with their collaborative track “Calling.” Not only did the smash find itself at the top Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Songs chart, it was also a top-ten hit in Australia and the UK.
“Calling” was featured on Swedish House Mafia’s compilation album Until Now in 2012. Still today, it plays out just as well. We can’t help but think how amazing it would be to hear this classic during a SHM reunion at Ultra’s 20th anniversary. Hey, we can dream…
