After his false allegations of a hate crime last year, Empire actor Jussie Smollett has basically become a pariah in the world of pop culture. His reputation has been destroyed and we wouldn't be surprised if it takes a long time to build himself back up to where he was. The 37-year-old is being investigated on new charges, which he has pleaded not guilty to, and he is now making his reappearance on social media, singing away his sorrows.
"Quarantine day 421," joked Smollett, suggesting that he has been on lockdown since his hate crime scandal. "Hope y’all are staying safe. Spread love and kindness... not Rona."

The video that the actor shared taps into his musical talents, showing the star singing a song about hope and moving past the troubles in our lives. This is the first time that Smollett has updated social media in thirty-nine weeks, effectively making this his return to the internet. Comments have been filtered to only include those from his close friends, including Porsha Williams and Todrick Hall.
Do you think Jussie Smollett will ever be able to get back to where he was in the entertainment world or is his star tarnished forever because of his lies?

T.I. & His Daughter’s Quarantine Song Is Heart-Warming
T.I. takes to Instagram during quarantine to share a video of him and his daughter singing a family-oriented bop.
T.I. has been at home with family just like the rest of us, and although he’s no longer letting us in on his family life through the reality show T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, he has been utilizing social media to curate a little show of his own.
It has been refreshing to see an uncut version of T.I.’s family dynamic. Yesterday, T.I. walked in on his family participating in a highly choreographed Tik-Tok routine, playing the role of a confused father. Today, he’s the #GirlDad who happily follows his youngest daughter around the house singing renditions of a song that they must have written together.
“Yes I love my daddy”, Heiress sings.
“Yes I love my baby”, TI sings back.
T.I. is a respected forefather of Atlanta-based trap music, alongside greats like Jeezy and Gucci Mane, but even guys as hard as that, know how important it is to be around family during the quarantine. Maybe we’ll get more of T.I. and his family as we push through this state of emergency together. It is also possible that other artists will be inspired to open up and share more of themselves with the world as well.
Everyone has to do their part during the coronavirus pandemic, and if staying at home with family is one of those things, maybe it’s not so bad.
21 Savage Tries To Sing Alicia Keys Cover & Epically Fails
We need a 21 Savage singing album.
At this point, we’re going to need 21 Savage to take a trip to the recording studio to formally belt out his vocals for an R&B-laced album. The seeds have been planted, the people have spoken, and 21 Savage is reciprocating. Clearly, this man wants us to beg him to drop a cover album of his favorite slow jams. We’ve seen him hit the ‘gram time and time again with blacked-out videos of himself singing along to Aaliyah, Boys II Men, and other classics. This time, he hit us with some more magic, singing along to Alicia Keys and dropping a rendition of “You Don’t Know My Name” so wondrous that we really need the full version.
Jon Kopaloff/Getty ImagesTagging Alicia Keys in his post, the Atlanta-based rapper told her that he wants to inherit her talent. “I wish I could sing like you,” wrote Savage as his caption next to a laughing emoji, knowing full-well how ridiculous he sounds. Hearing him try to reach that high falsetto will bring a tear to your eye — we’re just not saying whether you’ll be crying from joy or laughter.
We previously published an entire piece about 21 Savage’s love affair with R&B, marking it a major evolution of today’s “gangster rapper.” Revisit that article here and check out Sav’s beautiful voice below.
Cyn Santana’s Off-Key Singing Had "Love & Hip-Hop" Viewers Clowning Her Hard
Some fans think Cyn Santana should give up her musical aspirations.
There are always plenty of talking points coming out of each episode of Love & Hip Hop. Whether you prefer the New York, Miami, Hollywood, or other spin-off versions of the popular series, the show will always be wildly entertaining because of the ridiculous amounts of drama being displayed throughout its runtime. Without question, Love & Hip Hop always tries to steal the attention away from competing programs, using antics and sheer nonsense to get the crowd coming back for more. Cyn Santana has become a staple of the show alongside of ex-boyfriend Joe Budden and, during a recent episode, she could be seen testing out her chops in the recording studio. The results were ear-clenching for most viewers with some taking to social media to formally request Cyn puts down the microphone.
A prominent storyline exiting the new episode of Love & Hip-Hop: New York entails the love triangle between Cyn Santana, Joe Budden and Tahiry. Another aspect of the show is being discussed online too, making this quite a busy week for Santana on the headline front. Scenes of her prepping a new song were included in the show and, unfortunately, a negative effect was left on the audience who simply wants the reality star to go back to whatever she was doing before music.
"Cyn needs to go back to school or find another rich man or get her model-game up," wrote one fan on Twitter. "No Questions ur ass should not be singing," said another.
Do you think Cyn Santana has a future in music or should she quit while she's ahead?
Ari Fletcher Proves She Has Some Serious Pipes While Singing Wale Song
Ari forgot to tell us about her hidden talent.
Ari Fletcher may be shy about confirming her rumoured relationship with Moneybagg Yo, but she is not about to hide her vocal skills from anybody. The woman most known for her past relationships with Gervonta Davis and G Herbo, with whom she has a child, Ari may soon be adding “singer” as her most notable quality, as she proved to everyone on Instagram this weekend that she has some serious pipes.
In the brief video, Ari sings some of the lines from Wale‘s track, “The Need To Know” featuring SZA from 2015. If it feels like you’ve never heard Ari sing before despite her beautiful voice, it’s because the fact simply slipped her mind. “I forgot to tell y’all I could sing,” she captioned the post, before crediting her makeup artist for her look. Ironically, the lyrics she’s singing in the video are from the part of the song that goes, “You ain’t even really gotta be my boyfriend/I just wanna know your name/And maybe some time/We can hook up/We can hang out, we can just chill.” This disinterest with entering into a serious relationship but desire to still hang out seems to apply quite accurately to Ari’s current situation with Moneybagg. Interesting.
Tyler, The Creator Left Dumbfounded By Fan’s Twitter Question
Tyler had to remind the fan of his work.
Tyler, the Creator has had many shifts in his sound over the years. Perhaps the biggest shift was in 2019 when he dropped Igor. The album was a perfect mix of R&B and hip-hop, packaged in a concept album that many felt was the best of the year. This particular body of work was much different than what fans were used to which created a tad bit of division within his fanbase. Despite the quality of the record, some fans were left wanting more rap verses.
The EARFQUAKE artist was active on Twitter today and even engaged with many of his fans. At one point, a curious fan asked Tyler when he was going to start rapping again. Tyler didn't take too kindly to this line of questioning and reminded the fan of everything he's done recently.
Tyler's fans immediately hopped into the other fan's Twitter comments and hit him with some quick Ls to remind him that his question was unnecessary. Of course, Tyler's diehards are always going to take his side so this shouldn't be all that surprising. Overall, the artist makes a good point as he has been pretty consistent with his verses, even if it doesn't always seem that way.
What do you think of Tyler's response? Let us know in the comments below.
