Stefon Diggs continues to be one of the most elite receivers in the entire NFL and his services have helped turn the Minnesota Vikings into a formidable offensive team. Last season, Diggs seemingly had some problems with his quarterback, Kirk Cousins. Earlier today, Cousins was signed to an extension and in the aftermath of the news, Diggs took to Twitter where he alluded to the fact that he might be traded, very soon.
"It’s time for a new beginning," Diggs wrote on Twitter. To be fair, this is an incredibly cryptic tweet so there is no telling what he meant by it. Perhaps he is talking about his personal life. In fact, he could even be talking about the Coronavirus and how we need to take better measures to stop it. Realistically, however, it seems like this has a lot to do with the NFL free agency period that's going down this week.
If Diggs were to be dealt, he wouldn't be the only high-profile wide receiver to receive the trade treatment. Today, we reported that DeAndre Hopkins was moved from the Houston Texans to the Arizona Cardinals in a move that makes no sense for the Texans. Regardless, a big trade wouldn't be unprecedented in 2020.

Chris Paul Reacts To Knicks Trade Rumors
Paul isn't thinking about trades.
Knicks fans were rocked with the news early this week that Chris Paul is a target for their team in the offseason. ESPN's Frank Isola tweeted that the Knicks were "gathering intel" to build a good trade deal for Chris Paul this summer. "The Knicks, according to NBA sources, have been gathering intel on All Star Chris Paul and could make a run at him this summer," he tweeted. "Paul, 34, carries a huge contract but he’s had a resurgent season in OKC & is proven leader." Although the Knicks fan base has been divided on how they feel about the news, Chris Paul himself appears clear-minded about the situation.
Paul was asked after a game how he felt about the trade rumors, and he kept it real with reporters about what is really on his mind. “I imagine playing in Boston on Sunday, that’s the only thing I think about," Paul stated, referencing his team's next game. "Shoot, I haven’t seen my kids since All-Star. Might not see them until April, that’s the only thing that’s on my mind," he continued. Paul has nearly been in the league for two decades so this isn't the first time he's had to deal with trade rumors.
D’Angelo Russell Heavily Pursued By Knicks, Warriors Won’t Budge
The Knicks could use a young star right about now.
Of all the names being thrown around throughout the NBA trade deadline cycle, D'Angelo Russell is one of the players we have heard the most about. Ever since joining the Golden State Warriors, it was believed he would be a rental to replace Klay Thompson for a little while. Over the past couple of weeks, it has become apparent that various teams are trying to get him, including the Minnesota Timberwolves. Now, yet another team is throwing their hat into the ring, this time, the New York Knicks.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Knicks have been pursuing Russell and have even proposed some trade packages. So far, the Warriors have denied all of them as the Knicks aren't close to matching their demands.
Realistically, the Knicks don't have very much to offer the Warriors when it comes to roster players. The Warriors will be fine when Steph Curry and Thompson get back so there is no point in trying to look for quick replacements. Meanwhile, the Knicks are rebuilding for their future and can't afford to give up first-round picks for Russell, who isn't a proven franchise player.
