These past couple of weeks have been an interesting experiment in whether or not football in the Spring can actually work. The XFL debuted last weekend and saw quite a bit of success. When the XFL debuted at the turn of the century, it was a bit of a sideshow. However, this version of the XFL is much more professional and features some high-caliber players who are trying to prove themselves. The first weekend saw incredible ratings as the first two games raked in 3.3 million and 3.2 million viewers, respectively.
According to Sports Illustrated, the league saw a massive decline in Week 2 as the first two games of the weekend raked in 2.1 and 2.3 million viewers. While these numbers are respectable, it demonstrates a decline in interest from the previous week. Considering this is a new league, the drop off is to be expected as many people only watched week 1 out of curiosity.
It remains to be seen what will become of the XFL but many are optimistic it can be sustained for the long term. The football world needs a second professional league in the United States and it seems like fans are finally coming around to something new.

Warriors Experience Drastic Ratings Decline Amidst Injury Woes
The Golden State Warriors aren’t as fun as they used to be.
For the last five years, the Golden State Warriors have been one of the most entertaining teams in the league thanks to their high-powered offense that is completely centered around shooting threes. While their success has frustrated opposing fans, there is no denying that players like Steph Curry and Klay Thompson have changed the game forever. Having said that, this season hasn’t been so kind to the team. Thompson is out for the year with an ACL tear while Curry has missed a large chunk of time due to a broken hand.
These injuries have been a disaster for the Warriors when it comes to viewership. According to Sports Business Journal, the Warriors have experienced a 66 percent drop in ratings. This means the team has 1/3 of the viewers it used to have. It’s also important to note that the entire league has seen a rating decline of 13 percent which is something the Warriors have certainly contributed to.

The reason for this decline can be chalked up to the Warriors roster. It’s certainly not as interesting as it used to be, especially with Curry and Thompson gone. The Warriors are last in the entire league and it’s clear that fans don’t want to watch a struggling team every night.
Once their stars come back, we’re sure the Warriors will be just fine.
The 2020 Grammy Awards Sink To New Low In TV Ratings: Report
This year’s Grammy's was reportedly the lowest-rated in history.
It appears the Grammys hit a new low last night in the Neilson ratings. According to reports, music’s biggest night drew a 5.4 rating in adults 18-49 in age and saw 18.7 million total viewers, which is down 3% in the key demo and 6% in total viewership compared to last year’s telecast, which drew a 5.6 rating and 19.9 million total viewers.
With that said, this year’s telecast is now considered the lowest-rated in Grammy history. The least-watched Grammys came back in 2006, with 17 million viewers, but that had a higher rating amongst age group & target audience.
Despite the letdown for their own numbers, the Grammy’s still crushed the rest of the field Sunday night for most watched program.
Alicia Keys served as the show’s host, with an opening tribute to the late Kobe Bryant with help from Boyz II Men. Peep that performance (below) and check out all the winners from the Grammy's right here if you happened to have missed them. The big winner was Billie Eilish, who won “Album of the Year” and “Record of the Year,” meanwhile Tyler The Creator won "Rap Album of the Year" for Igor as well.
