There will be several memorial services and public viewings held for George Floyd, the 46-year-old who was murdered by police on Memorial Day. As protests continue to take place across the country, the family of George Floyd and their legal representative, civil rights attorney Ben Crump, are in attendance as the first service begins in Minneapolis.
George Floyd is in a golden casket flanked by flowers. The now-iconic mural at his arrest site is also shown on the stage.
Several celebrities are in attendance to hear the Floyd family speak, including T.I., Ludacris, Kevin Hart, Tyrese Gibson, Regina Hall, Tyler Perry, Tiffany Haddish, and more. Sen. Amy Klobuchar is also joined by Martin Luther King III, Rev. Jesse Jackson, and other civil rights leaders.
At the start of the ceremony, Floyd family attorney Ben Crump spoke on the reports that Floyd had tested positive for COVID-19, noting that he did not die from the coronavirus.
"Racism and police brutality killed Floyd," he said.
There is a live-stream currently happening of the memorial, where you can watch Rev. Al Sharpton, Ben Crump, and others speak about the impact that George Floyd has had on our world.

The First Trailer for New "Fast & Furious" Sequel "F9" Is Here
The whole gang’s back for the latest installment in The Fast Saga, and we mean everyone!
When The Fast and The Furious debuted in theaters back in 2001, no one could’ve guessed that the franchise would become a multibillion-dollar entity that would spawn a total of nine films, 10 if you include the upcoming grand finale arriving in 2021 and 11 if you include the 2019 spinoff Hobbs & Shaw — actually, make that twelve if the planned fast, furious and female-led spinoff comes to fruition as well. You might need a minute to digest all of that, but in the meantime take a look at the debut trailer for the most current sequel arriving this year titled F9.
Universal Pictures was able to unite the entire gang for this new installment, sans the late Paul Walker who as we all know died back in 2013 during the filming of Furious 7. However, his legacy lives on through a young character named Young Brian who appears to be taken in by Dominic Toretto, played by the series’ main star Vin Diesel. As the trailer shows, family actually is a huge running theme in F9 as the villain is revealed to be Dom’s little brother played by none other than John Cena. Other key players are back as well, including Letty (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman (Tyrese Gibson), Tej (Ludacris), Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel) and the surprising return of both Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Han Lue (Sung Kang), the latter who suffered a fiery fate in the 2006 film Tokyo Drift. While that may be explained chronologically in F9, it’s still a confusing sighting at first glance for many fans out there. Also returning are femme fatales Helen Mirren and Charlize Theron, reprising their roles as Magdalene Shaw and Cipher, respectively. Tokyo Drift star Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) also returns as well, and although she doesn’t appear in the trailer Cardi B is set to make a cameo appearance as a character named Leysa. With all that said, get ready for what’s sure to be a wild ride!
Watch the trailer for F9 below, and expect the film to hit theaters on May 22:
Tyrese Suggests Cop Thriller "Black And Blue" Was "Suppressed" Due To Racism
He spoke at length about his recent film.
Not every film will be a hit at the box office, but Tyrese Gibson claims he knows exactly why his movie Black and Blue wasn't a commercial success. The film stars Naomi Harris as a New Orleans officer who happens to capture the police shooting death of a drug dealer on her body cam. She later realizes that corrupt officers are responsible and links up with the one person she knows will help her stay alive while bringing down the wicked powers that be.

The film had a budget of $12 million and brought in almost $23 million. The action-thriller wasn't the blockbuster success that producers had hoped for, especially with a cast that also included Frank Grillo, Mike Colter, Reid Scott, and Tyrese Gibson. The latter recently took to his Instagram page to share his thoughts on the movie's lack of momentum, citing that racism was a key factor.
In an Instagram video, Tyrese shared that he'd received Blu-Ray versions of his film. He started off by saying he doesn't usually pull the "race card," but he's "speaking facts." He added, “When Black and Blue was in theaters, they never put the name on the marquee unless you specifically went to the front desk to request the movie, you didn’t even know the movie was playing in certain theaters. So many people were all over the internet going public about what was going on. And we know."
