Ugly God Won't Be On Social Media For The Rest of 2017
Ugly God recently took to social media to announce his intent to take a break from the realm, a decision sparked by a great deal introspection and a need to focus on the creation his forthcoming project.

“I won’t be on social media until 2018.” he penned in a tweet on Saturday. “I deleted both my Instagram & Twitter apps from my phone. I’m in the North Pole right now and I’m not coming back until I do 20,000,00 jumping jacks.”

His newfound direction doubles down on a sentiment he previously expressed social media back in September, revealing that he'd be opting to shed himself the "joke-around" persona that comes with his repertory.
"I’m creating no kind substance or mark. I just want to bring to light that I am very versitle sic], but I have been scared to show my versitity sic] for all this time because I didn’t get into this position I am in now because my versitility sic]," he wrote on Snapchat. "I felt like if I did show my versitility sic], people would stop fucking with me."
“I just feel like I’m on the edge permanently being taken as a joke and that would be the downfall my career," he went on to add. "There has sic] been too many people that have come and gone and I refuse to be one them.” It was this summer that Ugly God dropped f his debut project The Booty Tape. While it arrived to a generally positive consensus from his fan base, it further fastened his role in the "mumble rap" label used to generalize the latest generation rappers.
