Terry Crews has been under fire the past couple of days, after the actor tweeted out a stance on how to defeat white supremacy. Crews wrote to his twitter followers: "Defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy. Equality is the truth. Like it or not, we are all in this together."
Despite his intentions, whatever they might have been, the tweet has been at the receiving-end of criticism from both fans and fellow celebs alike. Amanda Seales gave him a full lesson on what is so problematic with his tweet, and his Everybody Hates Chris co-star, Tyler James Williams, has expressed level-headed outrage to Crews over the statement.
The actor attempted to combat Crews' tweet with his point of view, while also advocating for Crews' good heart: "Terry, brother, I know your heart and you know I have love for you and always will," he wrote in response on twitter.
"No one is calling 4 black supremacy & the narrative that we are hurts our cause & our people. We’re just vigorously vetting our “allies” because time & time again they have failed us in the past." He continued, "Our people are tired of white people who put on a good face a claim they “arnt racist” while operating and benefiting from the privilege of a clearly racist system. We’re not trying to do this alone. We KNOW we can’t. But we refuse to have allies who won’t go the distance."
Crews has issued a series of responses to some of his naysayers on twitter, including Williams. In response to Williams, Crews wrote: "I understand, Tyler. I was not saying Black supremacy exists, because it doesn't. I am saying if both Black and Whites don't continue to work together-- bad attitudes and resentments can create a dangerous self-righteousness. That's all."
He also shared a tweet and message for everyone: "Any Black person who calls me a coon or and Uncle Tom for promoting EQUALITY is a Black Supremist, because they have determined who's Black and who is not."
He later followed this up with another message, writing, "I believe it is important we not suffer from groupthink, and we keep minds of our own, and be allowed to ask difficult questions to each other. I believe this dialogue is important as we get through this trauma together. I love you." He continued, "Please know that everything I've said comes from a spirit of love and reconciliation, for the Black community first, then the world as a whole, in hopes to see a better future for Black people."

Amanda Seales Schools Terry Crews On Black Supremacy Tweet
Amanda Seales responds to Terry Crews' "Black Supremacy" remarks on Twitter.
Amanda Seales has spoken out against the controversial statement Terry Crews made on Twitter. It read "Defeating White supremacy without White people creates Black supremacy. Equality is the truth. Like it or not, we are all in this together." Reminiscent of his attempt to contradict Gabrielle Union’s claims of discrimination on America’s Got Talent, Crews is once again under fire for his comments.
“How did none of y’all tell me what Terry Crews was over there doing last night?” Seales asked her Instagram followers this morning, referring to Crews’ recent tweet.

She then took to Twitter to set the record straight.
"Just so we're clear: 1: there is no such thing as BLACK SUPREMACY. Liberation from an oppressive system is not rooted in a desire to BECOME the oppressive system," Seales started.
Seales continued her thoughts in a thread: “2: yes, there are people who attempt to measure blackness according to diff methods. My bottom line is EVERY black experience IS a black experience UNLESS it is ANTI-black.”
“3: @terrycrews tweets and previous actions are a demonstration of anti-blackness,” said Seales. “When you use yourself in any way to obstruct the truth of another black person's PRO-BLACK experience you are a coon. He did that with Gab and he's doing that with this movement.”
She concluded the thread with a fourth tweet: “4: A lotta my fellow celebs need their phones taken away and replaced with books. You're not playing a role. You're a role model. We must know our history better than we know their scripts.✊?”
Several individuals have emerged to offer criticism against Crews’ remarks. “I love you as a friend Brother Terry. But I disagree with you 100 %. No such thing as Black Supremacy. That is a tactic that Racist whites use to counteract our rebellion to their horrific treatment of us. It's called Gas lighting. Black pride isn't anti white,” tweeted @GodfreyComedian.
Even Crews’ former castmates from Everybody Hates Chris have put on statements in response to his statement on Twitter. "I’m not trying to call you out @terrycrews. You know it’s all love always ❤️. But we’re rightfully angry right now and fed up with anyone not with our cause wholeheartedly. I don’t want to see that energy pointed your way or diverted from the cause," said @TylerJamesWill who acted the part of the main character, Chris.
@TheOrlandoJones, who played Crews' son, tweeted,“Black supremacy? We represent 13% of US population, hold no institutional power & gaslight our coworkers. We got 99 problems and your math isn't the only 1. #StrongerTogether.”

Ben & Jerry’s Calls For A "[Dismantling] Of White Supremacy" In BLM Statement
Ben & Jerry's is a company known for supporting causes of equity and equality, and now they've come forward with a message about dismantling white supremacy.
They may be an ice cream company, but Ben & Jerry's has been known to fight the good fight. For years the dessert company has spoken out on various political and controversial topics, and they even have an entire section of their website dedicated to the "Issues We Care About." They've supported racial justice, criminal reform, informing the public about climate change, fairtrade, assistance to refugees, LGBTQIA+ equality efforts, and much more. It was years ago that they made it clear that they are 100 percent behind the Black Lives Matter movement, and in the wake of the recent protests, Ben & Jerry's has released a statement about dismantling white supremacy.
"All of us at Ben & Jerry’s are outraged about the murder of another Black person by Minneapolis police officers last week and the continued violent response by police against protestors," they wrote on their website. "We have to speak out. We have to stand together with the victims of murder, marginalization, and repression because of their skin color, and with those who seek justice through protests across our country. We have to say his name: George Floyd."
"What happened to George Floyd in Minneapolis is the fruit borne of toxic seeds planted on the shores of our country in Jamestown in 1619, when the first enslaved men and women arrived on this continent," the company added. "Floyd is the latest in a long list of names that stretches back to that time and that shore. Some of those names we know — Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Oscar Grant, Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, Emmett Till, Martin Luther King, Jr. — most we don’t."
Then, Ben & Jerry's laid out their four-part plan to help in bringing down white supremacy that included calling President Trump, calling up your congressman, supporting bipartisan legislation that calls for police accountability, and the need for the "Department of Justice to reinvigorate its Civil Rights Division as a staunch defender of the rights of Black and Brown people." It's more than ice cream, y'all.
Taylor Swift Slams Donald Trump For Violent Tweet About Protestors
Taylor Swift tweeted directly at Donald Trump, slamming him for "feign[ing] moral superiority before threatening violence" and vowing to vote him out of office.
Taylor Swift fired back at Donald Trump after he posted a horrifying tweet seemingly threatening violence on the protestors in Minneapolis in the wake of George Floyd's murder. On Thursday (May 28th), the third day of the protests fighting for justice in George Floyd's death, the President of the United States sent out some tweets in regards to the looting and rioting occurring.
"I can’t stand back & watch this happen to a great American City, Minneapolis," he wrote. "A total lack of leadership. Either the very weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, get his act together and bring the City under control, or I will send in the National Guard & get the job done right....." However, it was his follow-up tweet, which has since been hidden for violating Twitter's rules against “glorifying violence," that sparked immense fear and outrage among protestors and Americans as a whole. "These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen," he said. "Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"
His remarks, in particular the statement "when the looting starts, the shooting starts," stunned many, as it appeared that the president had just given the green light to enact violence on the American people while they were protesting violence against Black folks by law enforcement.
One somewhat surprising response that's been making waves came from the formerly politically silent Taylor Swift, who tweeted directly at Trump and vowed to vote him out of office for his racism and incompetence. "After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence?" she wrote. "‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November. @realdonaldtrump."
New Jersey Raises White Supremacists Threat Level Above ISIS
New Jersey is turning things up on white supremacists.
White Supremacy in New Jersey is officially more of a threat within the state’s borders than ISIS and al-Queada according to state security officials. New Jersey’s announcement comes just over a week after the Anti-Defamation League found an increase in white supremacist propaganda efforts across the entire country. This past Friday (Feb. 21), New Jersey released its annual Terrorism Threat Assessment report raising the threat level of white supremacists to ‘high,’ the topmost category for threat levels for any extremist group there.

According to CNN, the only other threat listed as high in the state of New Jersey are homegrown violent extremists, who also topped the list in the state’s 2019 report. White supremacists were previously listed as a moderate threat alongside ISIS, al-Queada, and other foreign extremist groups. White hate groups also currently outrank the West African-based Boko Haram and black separatist groups.
In an official statement, Jared Maples, director of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness said:
“The ever-changing threat landscape in New Jersey and around the country requires us to adjust our strategies to anticipate new threats while remaining ready to combat those already existing.”
The FBI recently raised the threat level of white supremacists groups to ‘high’ after officially recognizing the hate group as a terrorist organization in 2019. While the events that took place in Charlottesville just three ago have emboldened white supremacists across the country, hopefully, the United States government will do their part and rightfully displace these terrorist organizations swiftly.

Jodie Turner-Smith Won’t Raise Family In U.S.: "White Supremacy Is Overt"
The movie star isn’t too keen on her home country of England, either.
Fans were a bit shocked when rumors recently surfaced that Queen & Slim actress Jodie Turner-Smith not only married actor Joshua Jackson back in December 2019, but the newlyweds are expecting their first child together. If Jackson looks a tad familiar, it’s because he has quite the Hollywood resumé of his own; the 41-year-old longtime entertainer is known for his role as Pacey on Dawson’s Creek as well as for his appearances in Cruel Intentions, The Might Ducks series, Shutter, The Skulls, Apt Pupil, Fringe, and The Affair.

The British actress and the Canadian actor are figuring out where to make their home base as they prepare for the arrival of their first-born. One thing is for sure: they won’t be settling down in the United States. Jodie chatted with The Sunday Times and shared that in her opinion “the racial dynamics [in America] are fraught.”
“White supremacy is overt,” Jodie said. “It’s the reason I don’t want to raise my kids here.” She also took issue with gun control policies or lack thereof. “I don’t want my kids to grow up doing active shooter drills at school, she said, adding that her home country isn’t much better. “England has gone off the rails, so I was thinking maybe Canada.” People frustrated with the politics in their countries have often named Canada as their place to retreat, so it comes to no surprise.
